I'm not too surprised that the typical game forum community treats anyone that leaves as a traitor. What surprised me is I know the OP. I played a few times with him and he's a skilled player.
I feel there's something fundamentally wrong with this patch's ability to retain players. It could be just my server, however I see a lot less active players. The population decrease is sort of masked by the removal of the 30 minute logout feature.
In my opinion if the current quality continues all there will be left is a niche group like 1.0 and FFXI.

Personally I will say it's the difference that 2.1 had Crystal Tower.I'm not too surprised that the typical game forum community treats anyone that leaves as a traitor. What surprised me is I know the OP. I played a few times with him and he's a skilled player.

I think you are looking between the lines and see a lot of crap that does not exist.I'm not too surprised that the typical game forum community treats anyone that leaves as a traitor. What surprised me is I know the OP. I played a few times with him and he's a skilled player.

Really now, people who leave gets treated like traitors? all people say is "cya" in a varia of ways. You may think its this way but thats most likely because like you said, you played with him.
Goodbye threads are uttertly pointless, what is there to discuss other then to say "goodbye"?

He gave his feed back why he is quitting, so SE could know. I agree with the OP, that the RNG is ridiculous.
I have my animus, however I had to sacrifice a lot of my time I usually spend on other things to complete it in a month.
Now I'm grinding Levi Ex and that mirror drop is annoying me as well. I know fight perfectly, so why in the hell do I need to kill it 100-200 times to get a mirror? Since it's RNG with a very low rate, I may never get it.
If 2.3 has more of the same I'll be quitting as well.

Not entirely since everyone will have a reason to leave eventually but giving motivation is possible for those to stay or return due to that same dilemma can be a big positive to consider addressing.
Sure there's something that just wont be given the time of day but taking it into consideration and how to address it is better than just ignoring it. Especially after what Yoshida ended up posting about negative feedback in one of the events.

If 2.3 does not include more RNG and more timesinks, certain people will quit as well. Would you care? Sorry, but it does not matter what SE is going to do, certain people will quit regardless of what SE is going to do. They have to choose the route which would cause the lowest loss in subs and like it or not, that will be probably RNG/Timesinks and more classical JRP Elements.
SE does have tons of "fast" Content allready, so what does people have against optional content for those who like timesinks/RNG? Animus is just 1 option out of "currently" 4 and if i read between the lines of certain Statements, Hard Mode Weapons will maybe become the fifth. But anyways.. it is just that, an option and not the "one and only" way to go.
Is it that hard for people to accept that certain people actually like it? Or that SE is giving out another option which is not handed out within a day like the first Relic?

Maybe try to approach it differently. take the mirror as something that just happens from time to time and the lucky winner can be happy about it and not as something that everyone should get, no matter what.H

So I started the atma grind, and have been doing it with a FC mate. I honestly was expecting something harder from the complaints, but with an atma per hour on average... it seems like one of the least difficult grinds I have seen. Don't see the problem with it.
