Opinion, yes. But flat out telling SE how THEIR game should be, and then quitting when they don't listen to you....that's beyond merely stating your opinion.
Just because you find it easy don't mean the content isn't challenging. All the content, once you know it, is very easy. It's because you KNOW it.

You'll be back and look like an idiot for posting this thread for sympathy from people and hoping Square Enix changes it because you made a quitting thread you're not the first.

IMO they were excellent at communicating through beta... but after release, transparency went out the window.
They were behind on development, started throwing that out there with CT and other things, housing was a debacle... and they have just clammed up since.
It would be nice if they returned to the openness that they had in beta, but that is very difficult to do... during beta it was more about re-making content... which they did admirably. After that, we started seeing "rehashing" instead of "original"... and they have, imo had quite a few design missteps with "original" content.
Leviathan seems to be the exception, as it seems to be very well received.

You are just proving my point, do you realize that?
Let's play Armchair-Dev; So, what would you do to give an option to those people, who can't beat Coil, can't get Soldiery and can't get through Ex-Primals? Think about it and i am pretty sure this will be your answer; Timesinks. Everything else would not make sense. Yes, it is pure luck how fast people get all Atma's and afterwards it is straight grind, but 100% and not RNG anymore. The only RNG so far is the actual first Stage and collecting Atma's. How the future Updates will look like... who know's, we will know soon enough. You are may be lucky and get the Atma's really fast, maybe you are unlucky and it will take weeks over weeks.
SE is simply changing out Skill and Luck, for those who does lack Skill. Let aside those who actually like RNG/Timesinks, that is a different group of people, but you are not talking about those. If there would not be a "luck factor", but a set amount of Fates you would have to do, you would have pure grind and that would cater more to "hardcore" people.. ( i hate that term btw.. ), since they would go and grind it out in no Time. The "Luck" involved kind of prevents from that to happen. SE is gating the "entry stage" with luck and some ppl may call it "weeding out" and yeah it is. It is weeding out impatient people, people who are not determined and who are not ambitious. The same way Coil/Ex-Primals etc is locking out those who lack Skill.

Square Enix listens. It's just that:
1. Getting an Atma weapon is not mandatory. Hell, no self-respecting Warrior would even bother with the Atmas because neither the Atma nor Animus weapons grant any accuracy whatsoever, and accuracy is a desperate need for every Warrior.
2. It's not like no one is getting Atmas. I have five atmas without even trying. I just happen to do a lot of FATEs in random areas. If you don't like the grind, do something else. Once Atma/Animus/Novus becomes commonplace amongst the endgame playerbase, the Atmas will more than likely end up either having their drop rates dramatically increased or sold for tomes.
3. Threatening to quit a game has never worked to spur any developer to do anything you want. You'd need a massive amount of people complaining about it, and so far, there's just a very vocal minority of people. If anything, threatening to quit only diminishes the importance of your message, as if to say "Getting this weapon is the only reason I'm playing this game," which only serves to imply that you don't even like the game all that much and would be better off quitting the game and finding something else to play anyway.
So perhaps you would be happier leaving and finding another game, but I should warn you. If the SWTOR devs are any indication of the average, the FFXIV devs are actually some of the most attentive developers there are when it comes to its playerbase than anyone else out there, and most of them don't even speak English!

I am with you as well, canceled my subscription till the game is more enjoyable....
If pigs can really fly, I wouldn't care about anything else!!!
