Obviously, between the other things MMORPG players have been carefully educated to believe that THEIR suggestion is better than anyone else's. As such, it deserves undivided attention. No matter if it's identical

I tend to agree with this. While I think vociferous criticism is helpful (and obviously more of it would've been helpful during beta, but people like Abriael drowned out the rational criticism and ultimately hurt the game), suggestions are basically pointless. Unless you're a world-class game developer, you probably don't know any better than the devs at SE, who are also world-class devs.

Therefore, it's terrifying to see SE grovel to the player-base and release these silly PR polls like we know any better than they do. Where's the vision? Where's the breakneck speed of content updates?

EDIT: It's important to note that the current dev team may be doing all they can. My pet theory is that the game is woefully underfunded and understaffed, and that the dev team needs more financial resources in order to make the necessary changes.
