I am liking the quest, not done yet, but its something to do on the side when there is nothing else to be doing. Yes more content like this please.

I don't mind a grind. But 4 days in a row, @ 6 hrs a day and not ONE atma drop. That's just silly. If anything, it should be a set number of Fates per zone. At least you could see a light at the end of the tunnel.
I dont mind the grind... At the least they should make it less grindy after you got your 1st one or a few... since i'm a alt and character whore i Have 15 lvl 50's to get it on lol
Yeah there are SO MANY ppl like you who loves the ATMA grind, that SE have to delay the quest update because not enough ppl have done it. Oh wait...

Yes because many people have not finished the quest definitely means that they hate it. It could not be because they do not have that much time to play or realise that Atma is a long term goal and are pacing themselves so as not to burn themselves out. Or is it just possible they see no cause to whine if they are not able to get the second best weapon in game one month after release.
I'll put my tally as someone who likes the Atma set up as is. I think there are a few reasons I'm in the "go atma!" camp.
1) I never grinded fates when leveling so I don't mind doing them now. I enjoy reading the fate text and learning a little bit more about the lore of the world
2) I didn't try to get it done all in one go. I have absolutely no idea how many hours I spent collecting atma in all reality. I'd usually work on it between DF queues or when I wanted to play but wasn't sure when I was going to log out so didn't want to commit to instance play.
3) I never compared myself to others. Did many people get atma faster than me? probably but I was not paying attention to that what so ever.
4) I don't mind RNG. In fact in most cases I prefer RNG to token systems. I feel this game relies on token systems way too much. I remember at 2.0 a huge chunk of my fc would cap their tomes and have absolutely NOTHING to do in the game. Many people quit because of that. It's still a problem imho. So I personally think more RNG content in this game is sorely needed and atma filled that void.

Typically I like grinding, I do a lot of it in RPGs. That's usually the point anyway. But when I capped my company seals for the fourth time, after spending almost all of them on ventures and items like Peacock Ore every time, that's when I quit. That's somewhere between 150k-200k seals. And I only got the Maiden and Crab Atma after all that. And I'm sure there are people worse off than my luck.
The thing is, this isn't really grinding. This is just playing the lottery. And I've admitted defeat.
On the upside I guess I am close to the 3000 Fate Achievement...

If sphere scrolls are 2.5% drop rate from Guildhests, I'm blaming you OP.

Yeah SE, please cater to the grind lovers instead of the casual crowd which was what was used to promote your game in the first place. See how well that works out...
