Troll successful.
Troll successful.
I'm not Trolling. I love this Content, and not everyone who doesn't agree with you is a Troll. The fact is, most players are not even on the forums, and most of the time I just read them and don't comment. I posted this article today because I was sick of everyone asking to nerf the ATMA content, and tired of everyone wanting things easier in an already pretty easy game.
The books are great content too, but I was just as happy with the ATMA. It was also a stroke of genius to give everyone back out to the lower level fates when new players were coming on with the PS4 version. I as so disappointed in the first Relic Reborn quest... it was so easy and everyone had Relic weapons to the point they were 'required' to do runs.
I also liked the hole Atma grind, this is an mmo, things should not come easy, it should keep you entertain for a while, and also, what came out of the Atma grind? I leveled up my chocobo a few levels, so it was all good.

Yes!! I clicked like. I too enjoyed the Atma's quest. It was great. Let's have more content in the field, and I really look forward to the expansion pack, with more grind stuff, and more FATE NM's in the land. Let's get everyone out those cities and stretch those legs!!!
I like it too. If they change it, People will be whining about it being too easy lol Its just a vicious circle with these forums..
Atma is no content. Contents are Fate, dungeons, leves, Coil, CT, etc. This game seriously lacks enough grindy content
You don't need to be on the Atma quest to do fates (though it is no wonder you don't grind them when you don't need xp/atma because it is plain boring). If you liked FATE (to be honest I've never meet someone who actually liked doing FATEs) you could grind them even before 2.2.
I can't even understand how people nowadays can consider something which make you grind content you were already farming to be new content (let alone interesting content...). I just cannot understand.

I've already addressed this in another post.
Then Coil is for you simple as that. End of subject.
But okay, just for the sake of all of this lets just say the Devs decide, "alright people aren't happy with the current way we're doing atma so lets change it." But change it how? Feedback that I've picked up so far states:
a) Want something other than grinding low level fates.
b) Needs to provide some level of challenge so it's more engaging.
c) Needs to be more certain rather than uncertain concerning RNG so it's progressive.
d) Better drop rates.
Lo and behold they do. But what you have to keep in mind is that the Zodiac weapon is meant to be a long term investment, so no matter what they do it's going to take time. Given this and the feedback, here's what you can expect to see (or something similar) unless they just decide cave all together and just buff the drop rates.
They will detach atma from the fates and attach them to ex primals (you'll hear a lot of whining about this already). So far we have five primals that could be used (excluding Odin, Diablos, and Siren). In the future as more primal ex fights come out we can divide up the atma amongst them further. Upon defeating a primal you will have a 20% chance of a drop, and you can only get an atma that you don't already have so no need to worry about wasting time on duplicate atma. Again remember this is supposed to take time, so once you get your atma you now get to wait a week before you can get your next one. Say hello to lock outs again (remember all the complaining surrounding this issue?). So all in all it's going to take at least 12 weeks to get your atma weapon or rather about 3 months. This is also assuming you stay on top of it and don't miss a drop before the next lock out.
Now given this idea lets see if it meets the requests of our check list:
a) Does this take out the monotonous grind of the FATEs? Yes.
b) Does it provide a level of engaging challenge (ie being able to use all of your abilites, skills, game knowledge)? Yes.
c) Is there a higher drop rate concerning the frequency at which I will see an atma? Well the drop rate is 20% which is pretty decent so Yes.
d) Does it provide a level of certainty therefore giving a feeling of guaranteed progression? As long as you keep making successful weekly runs Yes.
Granted I could do a few various other things with this, but given what I keep seeing in these threads, the aforementioned is exactly what people are asking for. Bear in mind there have already been complaints about lock outs, moaning and groaning over content locked behind ex primals, but this is pretty much what people are wishing for. Do you see this pattern forming now? If not I can't help you.
If you sincerely don't mind this sort of thing then hey more power to you as it won't bother me either. If not, then you need to stop making these bandwagon claims to how the atma system should work as you're only going to make your situation more insufferable. Either way people are still going to QQ no matter what is done as they only want it handed to them on a silver platter, and you'll know who these people are if and when the above comes to pass and those very same people that were asking for it return to cry some more.
There you go.
That's the path the complaints are taking us in. So now it's not just probably going to take you months it will take you months. But at least we avoid the RNG right? If the above or something akin to it is your thing knock yourself out.
Also see post above yours.
