Yep, and I did state this wasn't for "hand outs." This post is so that PvP keeps people coming in. Otherwise you get the pre 2.2 issue and this current flood will die down as well once people realize it will take them hundreds of hours to get something that ends up being vanity in the end anyways.

If whatever you're shooting doesn't die after you pump 8, 32 caliber, slugs into it, it's probably a dragon.

The grind is good the way it is. You learn how to play your class really well with time spent pvp'ing in different situations. An ilvl 70 btw can roll an ilvl 90 geared player, has happened many times. The reason you get face rolled isn't all on the gear, the stat changes are miniscule, the reason for getting face rolled is because usually the ilvl 90 geared player has so much experience and knows how to deal with you while you're hesitating trying to mash buttons hoping to out dps him or her or can't find the healer out of the group etc. If all the players are ilvl 70 on one side and the other side is all ilvl90 then it is very difficult for team a, but not impossible, there are bad rank 30 players out there too.

I do believe the queue's suck as hell though, totally agree with that. Because of this I have all but given up on pvp, tired of waiting for a fight.

Not only are they tired of queues the reward of exp/marks you get are piss poor. Other day I did like 52k damage in a fight when the team I was on won. You get nothing special, no bonus or anything. The time it took to win that match for the Exp could have been offset by quickly losing 3 matches. Sure you wouldn't have gained the marks, but what it does it matter? You can't use the marks appropriately until you are the correct rank, and there lies the issue.

    3. Stop the 1 minute wait before each battle. Seriously we all know to kill the healer, or the squishy. 20-30 seconds is enough.

    4. Give us a grand company leve that has us do X amount of matches for the day. (since GC are associated with PvP that grants us a bonus amount of exp/marks)
    5. Limit the amount you can sprint in PvP. I know healers/mages need it to survive (supposedly) but that's just bad game design.
    6. Add a daily PvP roulette that gives us a large amount of marks/exp.

    1. No the gear should stay unique for the people that grinded all the way up to that rank
    2. rewards already got doubled
    3. Agreed, 30 seconds is enough to buff/check enemies/make plans
    4. Agreed, make it like the challenge log ~ 200exp
    5. No w/o sprint melees and bards would reign
    6. Agreed - but not over the top XP

I can see why you would wan to keep gear the associated to only the top rank, but atm it still takes far too long to grind it. I just think for the health of the system it would be better to allow any rank to wear it so long as they get the marks for it.

61315 marks to get full gear for Lionmane. That is 1022 wins or 3066 loses. You might be lucky to get 50/50 but when you look at the grind time compared to the number of marks needed I honesty feel exhausted. Sure you could play casually for a year or so and get it but by that time something else could come out better for your marks. I agree with 2, 4 and 6 strongly. It would help to get us motivated for PVP. Especially since nothing was done to the actual mechanics/ mode.

You're right new i100 gear are more expensive than expected, especialy cause right now you cannot dual job with (whm/sch, blm/smn, mnk/drg etc). 30 to 50% reduction cost for all gear might be justified.

Regarding experience, i think that it should be expected, I encourage you to register solo queue ::> Global queue time will be reduced for everyone and you'll earn more exp/points.

Ya, my issue is that for the amount of time you sink in to get that gear you can pretty much have done all manners of other content in the game. The exp reward still needs to be more obtainable considering the grind to reach the rank to wear the appropriate gear is ridiculous. I rather wear almost my all high allagan and save for the rank 40 gear. Than buy the i90 gear which makes me sink in more time to get marks for the full rank 40 in the future...

Another possibility would be to just make EXP static across the board for both wins and losses, but keep the wolf mark penalty. Players could still rank up at a reasonable rate, but the gear would still be a bit of a grind if you aren't winning consistently. Even shortening the gap between the win/loss penalty would be a start. Maybe 30 or 40 EXP on a loss, compared to 60 on a win (solo queue, anyways.)

    I second this..

Perfect suggestion... that way newbies can level up quicker and get their skills (especially more newbie healers with attunement in pugs), but the people who triumph would still get their gear first.
