Wait, that's how the Animus book FATES work?

So there I am waiting for the FATE to spawn for my book when someone tells me that they "only spawn after all the FATEs in an area have been cleared for a while

    Welp.

No part of this system was a good idea.

I can only assume doing other FATE's will clear the area and push other FATE's upwards, because I've been in some areas where literally the same FATE pops over and over again about 3-4 times 2-3 minutes after the timer runs out.

I can't find the exact thread, but the Devs actually did respond to this and said there is a limit to how many fates can appear in a zone, and if you a trying to get a specific fate to appear, clearing other fates in the zone will increase the speed at which your target fate can appear as you are freeing up space.

This is obviously a bug. I think we just need to submit bug tickets for all frustrations pertaining to atma. Obviously its a bug as it deviates so far from the initial multi class design. /troll

    This.

Also please please please, before complaining find out if that FATE has a trigger to spawn it. So many people complaining about a FATE not spawning when it requires you to go there and talk to an NPC.... >_>

But that doesn't work, since many of the FATEs needed for Atma books get cleared in less then a minute once started. So even if clearing FATEs speeds up the drop rate (Of which the only proof we have is from SE employees on the forums who don't seem to be actual game devs), doing so almost certainly means you wont get the clear.

Doing FATEs most certainly speeds up popping new ones. But it's up to RNG which ones pop. So, you might be sitting camping for a while, especially because people are selfish pricks, thus going around doing FATEs to speed up the process isn't an option.

Fates in a zone have pools they draw from, these pools are refilled every game day. Lower difficulty fates have higher occurances in the pool ie they have 2-5 Possible apperances in an game day. Higher difficulty ones have less usually only 1 possible appearance a game day. There is a cap on how many fates can be up at a time (coerthas is7). Each zone reques approximatly 55

Clearing the easier fates in the area will increase the odds of the one you want to appear by about 1.5% inthe hour for each one. Timed out fates also count twards this. My rule if thumb is if you can get to the other fate whith a sprint why not do it to increase your odds. It only takes about 15 seconds to do the 3000 dmg to get gold in the book fates.
