When right-clicking to control camera and character facing, characters simply rotate without any change in animation. It looks ridiculous and takes me out of the experience. I have submitted in-game suggestions about this, but it has been many months and there has been no change or response.

I'm no developer, but it seems rather simple to fix, especially when there is already a turning animation implemented into FFXIV if I use the keybind set to turning the character left or right. I feel my opinion is also supported by the fact that, when playing both World of Warcraft and the Wildstar beta, characters in both games don't just animate a change in facing, but turn their head to match the facing of the camera before shuffling their feet to change the direction their legs are facing when the head turns a certain degree.

If both Wildstar and World of Warcraft are capable of putting complex turning animations into their games according to changes to camera perspective, I'd think my favorite MMO would at least be able to make my character shuffle their feet instead of spinning around like they're not even part of the world.
