Tank mounts the good and bad

As a tank how do these guys even survive without the healer's help?!

For mounts only hard mode dungeons count towards the reward and even in copperbell you cannot make any worthwhile solo progress through it.

If you're killing your pt you are not getting your mount faster by doing so.

They survive because they are not taking any threat, we are the ones tanking while they auto attack the target. And even if these low level dungeons don't count towards the achievement those who want the mount and don't have a tank need to level one and running dungeons is the quickest way to do it with instant Q as tank.

nope only 8 man dungeons count towards it if it was the hard mode then everyone with a animus would already have it by farming brayflox hm all day

i did see that, in sastasha and there was a tank only attacking one mob, and could not keep hate on that one mob, never flashed, or responded to anything.

I ended up tanking the dungeon. I thought it was an rmt bot as well

I've noticed some truly atrocious tanks lately, particularly in low level dungeons but I think it has more to do with the release of the PS4 than the motivation for tank mounts (since that was implemented weeks ago and bad tanks are only just now streaming in).

Bad tanks? I am having the opposite problem. With 2.2 I decided to switch to full time tank, and retire the healers and damage dealer jobs I had been playing previously.

And I am a very good tank if I do say so myself. But I am ready to rage quit tanking because of the terrible people I keep getting in my roulette groups.

The biggest culprits are the BLMs. Most of my groups have one, and they are all terrible at the job. I go to pull, but before I have a chance to flash or overpower, a flare explodes on the enemies. It's insanely difficult to try to recover and maintain threat when someone spikes ALL the enemies with that much threat before I can even get started. They aren't giving me any time to establish initial threat. Worse still, half of them ONLY cast flare, even on 1 or 2 enemies, which is insanely inefficient. Boss fights take forever because the BLM is just cycling flare over and over, doing about 1/4 the damage he could be doing.

Yesterday I had a geared up level 50 WHM, who played like he was a 15 CNJ doing sastasha for the first time. He was constantly using fluid aura to knock enemies away from the melee players. He was also so busy attacking that my health was floating around 10% on pretty much every pull.

But no, I am not going to say anything to these people. I am not going to try to teach them to play better. Why? Because they are freakin level 50. Many are i90 or better. They should KNOW better by now. If they haven't figured out how to half-effectively play their job by now, there's no way I can fix them.

I have run across this as well. I guess I should have specified the tank problem is in low level dungeons. In 50 dungeons I have run across tanks who weren't all that great but never ran in to one that just uses auto attacks.

Yeah, running DF to level my CNJ lately I have seen some bad players. One thing they all have in common is the inability (or refusal) to communicate. So I assume they are on PS4. I get it, you might not have a keyboard. But you can at least read the chat log that says "please use Flash" or "please don't run ahead while I'm casting Protect" etc.

I've started leveling a tank because of the mount. But I also let people know that I'm still new to tanking when I enter a duty if I'm not as familiar with it. I think I'm doing ok, but I'll get better with more practice. As long as people are patient with me, we'll get through it. Of course, I also do my best to be a good tank. I don't think I'm there yet, but I hope that I'm improving.

It's disappointing that people aren't even trying. Sounds like they're treating the tank roles as DPS. This won't help them get their mount at all, as they won't last long in the high-end content.

For kick someone i do something before.

First i try talk to him, what are you doing ? use this skill (with the auto translate etc).

If he don't answer, or change how he play, or don't even try to be better. Yes i tell him i will kick you in 5 minut (or less depend how much time i need to wait for launch the vote).

Then he is kicked. I have done a amdapor (the new one) the tank was stupid and tank mob one by one, and with skill who don't realy grow the hate on monster. So after trying tell him he something he didn't even answer, so we have kick him, the party was sad, we will wait so much for a tank now

I have say don't worry, i leave too and i come with my tank, thing done, i have come back with my tank, and the class i was before was a dps, and a dps join 1 minut later, the dungeon was fine and everyone happy at the end.
