What exactly is (PPP) abbreviated for if you don't mind me asking? One other question.. with this opener wouldn't it be a bit more difficult to pull off a Double boot shine combo before the Twin falls off for the second Demo? Appreciate the respond in advance :PStrongest opener I've found to date is the one I've seen Lucrezia's monks using:
(PB) Snap (PPP) Snap (BfB) Demolish Twin (STR pot) DK (IR) Touch...
If you do it right, you get BfB + potion + IR on the second Demolish, and you get that ToD with all the buffs, and you don't clip the first Demolish, which itself has GL2 + BfB. With lower skill speeds, use the cooldowns a bit late in the GCD.
HQ Potent Poisoning Potion.
I don't understand what you mean about the "double bootshine combo". It's not worth letting Twin Snakes fall off for any more than just Twin Snakes and even then that's kind of a technicality at the moment; it shouldn't be falling off at all.
Thanks for the response btw! Ah I usually just called it "poison" hehe >_<. Everything else i will just figure it out on my own thank you again!
Ive been messing with this opener ever since I got back on monk. St pot pb sp b4b sp ir dm hf twin steel dk pb ends touch which gets all buff and pots, I like it so far.
So I tried the opener Sunny posted that the Lucrezia monk does, and was able to get 563 DPS on a pretty good crit run (no party, no food, skipped the pots). My highest with other openers was 557. Both of the mentioned parses resulted in 37% crit overall. i123 with crafted belt and i125 relic. I'll have to do some more testing to see if it it's consistent for me, but looking good for sure.
Yep, very consistent for me, even during t13 1 chest runs to help people out; sitting around 580 is nice.
I always have pisspoor luck with drops in Coil, and my group has been pretty inconsistent lately because of work. I'm looking forward to getting some more pieces and cranking it up further.
Yeah I like Sunny's Opener
Here's one thing I learned from a monk in my FC.
So apparently at 385 Skill speed, you are at the minimal amount to allow you get 2 Demo's on your first Blood for Blood (from your opener, any less and you can't get it if you have ToD in your opener right after PB unless you have Selene's buff), along with this, Blood for Blood should come up right before one of your Demo's later in the fight and again you should be able to get 2 Demos out of that Blood for Blood also.
But along with this I would like to add that if you end up getting selene's buff before the second time you use blood for blood then you can use a fracture to draw out B4B's cooldown wearing off right before Demo instead of right after.
Now, I wonder, if there was a case were Blood for Blood were to come up say, right before your Bootshine/True Strike. Would it be better to wait the 2 GCDs to use B4B right before Demo, to ensure you get 2 Demos from it, or should you pop it asap?
I was going to mention the same thing about twice during a normal parse you can get two Demos in on BfB. I was about to start testing SS to see what the breaking point was on the one that happens from the opener so thanks for providing that info Ossom. And you bring an interesting point about a scenario where holding BfB possibly being worth it. I was discussing that with a person in my FC today. Definitely worth testing.
Edit - Later in a standard parse there's a point where you can do a third Snap rotation and hold Demo so you time it with BfB again for a third instance of getting two Demos in on BfB.
