Tornado kick is a very unhindered and easy to activate oGCD for me.I try and use it as late as possible, that said. Both Forbidden Chakra and Tornado Kick seem to be hard to click oGCDs (Like Potions, where you need to press it a few times for it to register). Atleast that is the case for me so I end up seeing something like Bootshine > True Strike > Tornado Kick > Snap Punch.
Where Snap Punch is my last hit because I was barely able to squeeze it out. Thats a 48 Potency lost compared to Bootshine > True Strike > Snap Punch > Tornado Kick. But it is like a 400 Potency gain from not having Tornado Kick register.
Forbidden has a delay though, even before the latest hotfix borked its queueing.
As the others said I'd wait until the last possible second and potentially even miss out on it rather than hitting it early and losing GL3 on a GCD and potentially an autoattack. There's a lot to lose with a mistimed TK.How does everyone time Tornado Kick? If boss is going yo jump or do some mechanic that will result in GL3 dropping, do you:
1. Using TK a few seconds before to make sure you get it in(and run with out GL for a few seconds)?
2. Wait to the last possible second, possibly not getting TK off in time, but maximizing GL uptime?

Whats everyones rotation now?
basic rotation hasn't really changed.
i throw FC in when i know it'll do good dmg (when IR/B4B/DK/TS are all up), and finish trash pulls with TK when i can just to speed things up. EF gets used liberally because awesome.
and of course, i'll spam the SUPER-annoying chakra stacks in between packs, and internally apologize to everyone for being a loud asshat.

Tornado Kick is such a pain though...the only time I've really been able to use it optimally is in Ravana EX at the end of each Liberation. In dungeons every time I pop it the target dies before it finishes going off...if not I'm too soon. Which isn't the end of the world, but it's frustrating getting the best timing down. I don't mind the concept of the move, but it's very disappointing we didn't get anything new to the real core other than 1 new off-GCD to weave too. Form Change is probably the best we got after getting used to it, habitually getting back into Coeurl has made keeping stacks a bit smoother despite the earlier refresh time on Coeurl moves. FC is just a luxury bonus hit and Purification has only proved useful on AOE dungeon spam so far. Maybe in some long bosses if DPS is low it would've come in handy as I don't tend to think about dropping ToD any more to conserve TP, but by that point I've long-used FC and haven't had the down-time to charge it :P
so what are you guys going to buy first this week? talking about alexander normal tokens. i'm scared i might drop below acc cap so i'm thinking of buying acc pieces first.

I have 3 ideas regarding this :
-Buy accs this week
-Get legs
-Or ring, belt + gloves/hat or feet

Here's the new gear stats:

The rains have ceased, and we have been graced with another beautiful day. But you are not here to see it..
I apologize if it has already been mentioned on a previous page, is SS now a priority for MNK? The reason I ask is I always aimed to stay around 400 pre 3.0 due to that being the minimum and anything over was considered a waste. With the addition of Law tomes and gear and some dungeon drops there is a ton of SS on everything in place of Det/Crit.
I personally think Crit is the new go to until Dervy or someone else does some stat weigts. Looking at Drg Stat weights, it seems Det and Crit are still equal for them and SS is still a lot less. I say get enough SS to do the 5 Hit PB and be able to Keep GL when you throw in the ToD and then go full crit after that.
Mostly Minimize Accuracy to meet w/e the cap is at that specific time, make sure you meet the SS break point and then just stack Crit.
