pretty shocked that out of all the tidbits of information that's been shown/come to light in the past few days, the one key aspect of new monk play is still not clear.
oh well, just gotta wait for full patch notes soon, and just a bit over 10~ hours before we can start the grind

I just wanna know if they are going let DRK override our DK buff, and if they are I better be getting my blunt debuff somewhere or I'm going be one pissed off monk.

It'll be nice for teams without a monk though. doubt they'd fuck them over like that lol.
If chakra doesnt fall off (source apparantly says it doesnt consume?) then it'll be amazing

actually, looking at the skill descriptions, it says nothing about it falling off.. though, maybe it times out after a certain time period? Not sure. Not really many details about it.

I think MAYBE Forbidden costs all 5..which also makes it kind of useless. If it doesnt, unless there's something gating you if it has a recast of 5 seconds. Like, I'm not even sure if you can outthreat a monk doing his rotation + Forbidden every 2 GCD's if it doesnt consume the stacks.
The TP restore is on a 3 minute cooldown, as well - so that I could understand not draining Chakra. Something weird going on here, 5sec recast is VERY short considering the damage output potential. 7 GCD's for potentially 15000 potency over a fight? uhm?

the whole point of the chakra system, at least from my perspective, is to reduce the cost of downtime, we know from previous theorycrafting that if tornado kick was 500 potency, it would be a dps increase to use it in rotation, if only just.
with this in mind we can safely say that if we have enough forced downtime that we can get forbidden chakra, that the use of this in combination with tornado kick as phase transition, we actually gain dps when you exclude downtime, what i mean is if the boss is for example invulnerable, no one can hit the boss, but the monk can still be doing dps during this period if you consider chakra to be a 64 potency skill (320 / 5), it doesnt sound like much but it should change a lot when it comes to monks and forced downtime.
