Has anyone tested to see how hard it is to upgrade Animus to Novus? With i110 gears accounted for no accuracy on High Allagan Baghnakhs, Sphairai Novus with +31 det and +44 crit might be second BiS. http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/MROO without the added stats on Novus.

I'm going 31 det/44 crit. I can make up the 40 Acc loss somewhere else, SkSp not worried about that.

To me, i'm not too worried about novus. It's a massive pain and I'm massively lazy. On top of that, Acc/Det is always dreamland as they are the two most important secondaries to monk. And, finally, Det naturally occurs in lower values, and I think we've seen before that only one secondary can reach its maximum value. Novus could be different, but if it isn't then I think it's just more efficient to stick to glanz.

Because reasons, basically. It's been a palm strike ever since 1.0 and I thought they might change it for ARR but they didn't. Honestly though I like the palm strike better and think they should have changed the name rather than the animation.

The JP names might be more correct - the english localisation is wierd in some point for skills and it's kind of too late to make naming changes at this point.

Considering we can do 3 substats instead of 2 on Novus, rather than goin straight 31 det/44 crit... How would 31 det/22 crit/22 SS pan out? Crit is equally weighted to SS and has diminishing returns already due to Bootshine autocrit. It would also potentially save gil/time on not using many tier 4 materia.
