i deleted my ff14 folder in MyDocuments (backup your character settings) then run ff14, and then the launcher worked

Server congestion, there's a topic about this, I linked to it earlier.

Not really imo. I think the patch sort of corrupted some of the player's boot.cfg file for pc version. It worked fine after i got a new boot.cfg file

I would say that this would be the issue had not the patch actually downloaded on mine and then while trying to apply the patch to the rest of my game it said it couldn't do it.

Same issue, frustrated about this we have so limited time to do progression and this happens.......
