I can assure you that you're not going to get knocked off the edge in Titan HM because you have 100-140ms, you're just not moving out it before the CAST bar finishes (the graphic means nothing compared to the cast bar, as the dev team have stated before). You would not get 40-60ms unless the server as situated within 1,000-2,000 miles or less of you, in this case there would need to be a French/German data-centre and a Middle-Eastern Datacentre.

Then maybe SE shouldn't create new datacenters, but focus on making sure the cast bar and the aoe signals are actualy synchronized? Just a thought, but whatever arguments people throw around, I still don't find it acceptable to be hit by something your screen tells you you dodged.

BTW, while what you say about distance to the servers might be true in many cases, it's not necessary the case. I have 40-60 ms all the way to Montreal from Europe, latency only spikes over 100 ms after hitting the last node.

And if 100-200 ms isn't enough to be hit by stuff while out of it, I'd like to know what is the cause. Because with no packet loss and even when latency is under 200 ms, I've seen stuff happen like in my sig.

Can't believe people in here actually don't want EU datacentres, this community is so full of shit at times, this game is never going to move forward as long as there are so many apologists around to defend SE.

For people saying Learn to dodge I have completed Titan ex and have very few issues myself with latency but thats only since I have been using a VPN and I don't think its acceptable to pay extra because SE decided to have its servers half way across the world. (lets not forget that not everyone uses a VPN and it only takes 1 tank/healer to get knocked off the edge and you may as well wipe)

I don't have to do this with any other MMO, hell Rift a fee to play MMO has EU servers, so don't give me that bullshit that it "costs a lot of money". If Trion can do it SE sure as hell can ... they are just too tight and lazy to bother.

Your situation actually sounds just like mine.

I'm not sure if the issue with aoe-lag is because of the location of the data-center or what, but it is quite inexcusable.
I personally have to use vpn to be able to do any of the higher level content. Titan HM without vpn? - Can't dodge anything = wipe, Garuda Ex. without vpn? - Run to the bubble but never get the buff = wipe, not to mention stuff like esuna can be cast while running.. With vpn no problem though, cleared all ex. primals other than moggle mog (which I haven't tried yet) too, for those about to say I just suck and need to learn to dodge.
And to those who think it's unreasonable to point finger on SE for these issues, I think it's even more unreasonable to point the finger at the gamers and their connections. Personally I have a 100mbps connection, and no problems with other games whatsoever. Make what you want of it, but i think it should be good enough.
