Launcher not loading after the 2.25 update

When I launch FFXIV, the launcher it stuck on a black screen and gives me system error -2146697211 after about 5 minutes.

Black Screen, or partial load. I'm having that same issue. Is it just high server load right now?

Congestion? lol why now and not before? What did 2.25 do? Get crappier servers?

no cuz everyone thinks they change the atma grind.... nope they didn't do anything, unless alot of ppl want to pvp. then must be a bloodfest in-game right now

The server are already crap cuz SE didn't expect this game to have so many players hence the not so good server quality they bought and the cliche reason of how expensive to replace servers with good ones

Congestion isn't a good reason simply because I doubt people took off work/school for 2.25 that they didn't really give solid information about beforehand. It's 10AM CST and if this has been going on for hours I find it pretty humorous that the excuse is "congestion".

i know a WoW player that applied for jobs while telling them he couldn't work such and such hours because he had raids to do. lol
