I've been patient enough, thanks. I've spent 20 hours in hell known as "Southern Thanalan" with no Atma to show for it. Yet I have friends who have gotten all 12 Atmas in that same amount of time. This system is an absolute joke.

ppl spent 20 weeks in turn 5, with nothing to show for it.
Animus is as option for those that cant do 2nd coil, or twintania and LeviX for that matter.
Shouldn't be quick and easy to get in an afternoon.

Except... 20 weeks of turn 5 alone will give you 1000 myth. which could be used to (suprise) buy i90 gear. 20 hours of atma farming and that next fate still has the same low% of giving you a drop...that you use to get a weapon that is different in name/appearance only...that you now have to spend 13,500 myth (45+ hours of myth farming, as well as the actual requirements to complete the books) to upgrade.

that's a pretty bad analogy. You win T5 you are guaranteed loot while if you win the fate it's all or nothing. Plus where are people getting this "people want it quick and easy" shit from? The system too all control from the player to progress to a luck base system.

You don't know patience until you've worked customer service in retail. Just do your regular quests and go to FATEs on your way, if you prefer. I've gotten Atmas like that.

regular quests? as if the game has open world quests.

the only Atma i've gotten so far is from a FATE tied to Kobold dailies, the only other one i probably will get is when i go back to doing the Sahagin ones.

and i spend plenty of time playing the game, only 3 pieces short of full i90 or higher on every job.

no way am i doing a quest this mind-numbingly boring that's 100% based on range.

You do realize that your other two options are hidden behind clearing the 3 extreme primals, one of which Yoshi himself even said a lot of people are still stuck on, and the other is downing turn 7 and getting the unidentified tombstone?

Err if you don't plan on killing Leviathan and going to T6-9 why do you even need a ilvl 100 weapon ? Except for vanity obviously.
