No changes to ATMA?

Shouldn't be quick and easy to get in an afternoon.

Except... 20 weeks of turn 5 alone will give you 1000 myth. which could be used to (suprise) buy i90 gear. 20 hours of atma farming and that next fate still has the same low% of giving you a drop...that you use to get a weapon that is different in name/appearance only...that you now have to spend 13,500 myth (45+ hours of myth farming, as well as the actual requirements to complete the books) to upgrade.

that's a pretty bad analogy. You win T5 you are guaranteed loot while if you win the fate it's all or nothing. Plus where are people getting this "people want it quick and easy" shit from? The system too all control from the player to progress to a luck base system.

You don't know patience until you've worked customer service in retail. Just do your regular quests and go to FATEs on your way, if you prefer. I've gotten Atmas like that.

regular quests? as if the game has open world quests.

the only Atma i've gotten so far is from a FATE tied to Kobold dailies, the only other one i probably will get is when i go back to doing the Sahagin ones.

and i spend plenty of time playing the game, only 3 pieces short of full i90 or higher on every job.

no way am i doing a quest this mind-numbingly boring that's 100% based on range.

I would just like to add onto this:

Two friends and I were hunting in Southern Thanalan two days ago. We were there specifically to help him get Atma of the Scorpion. Three hours later, he still did not have an atma, and my other friend and I were +2 of the things. We felt so damn bad since he had been hunting for many hours before we began to help. The system is broken from a reasonable standpoint.

They will eventually nerf it for sure. And I'll wait until that time. I don't have much time to play as is and grinding fates for hours a day with no reward at all at times (with bad luck) is not my idea of a good time.

I have friends who fully got all 12 of their atma within ~3-4 days. I was stuck in North Shroud for about a week and have been stuck in Southern Thanalan since, only have 6/12 and I've actively done it every day for the majority of the day (until the last few days, getting fed of up with the bs of never seeing it drop).

I've been stuck in this same zone for so long, theres actually no one else doing the fates because everyone else got lucky as crap -.- The only people who are saying that "Everything is fine" or "it's not that bad" are those people who got theirs in under a week

I mean yeah, I'm all for time consuming things in a mmo, but this was just done poorly. No matter how much time you put into it, it doesn't matter since it's completely reliant on RNG, so you could spend 20+ hours farming for 1 atma while another guy gets his off the first fate. It's so bad, that once I actually have all 12, I'll probably sit for another few days deciding which relic to do because I'm not doing this for all 5 of mine

Getting the relic itself is a fun quest and getting it to Zenith take patience.

20 hours is nothing. I don't get why you guys are complaining and comparing yourself to other players. It's like rolling low on loot and someone manage to get lucky and get 4 pieces in a week yet you got none. Are you going to cry about that too? What am I saying, of course you are because this system is a joke to you.
