    Turn 5 Tips and tricks

    Hello,

I am currently working on getting T5 down and looking for some tips and / or trick on making it smoother.

I am entering as wither PLD for OT or BLM for boom boom!

Have any new strats or tips come about to help get to the win? Seem DiveBombs and snakes are an issue.

I have timers set up in ACT for these abilities. I am also using a macro for DB's I seen in a post here.

    Just looking for advice.

    Thanks in advance!

For divebombs, due to server latency your character should appear moving out of the ditch before everyone else. If your character is moving with the group on screen it may be too late and you might get hit. Also, if someone gets hit by divebombs they should not try and regroup with everyone else in the ditch as they could get targeted and MPK the rest of the raid with an awkward angled DB. There is enough time for healers to cast one spell during the wait in the ditch so if tanks are dying here it may be a healer problem. BLM can also pop manawall and avoid taking any damage & knockback from DB.

For snakes OT should leave the pit after the 2nd divebomb on the second set, getting into position to pick up both snakes that spawn. Tanks should position the Aesculapius and the hygeia in such a way that caster LB and aoe is able to hit both of them, and to have the MT avoid getting any disseminate stacks. (crappy text diagram below). It does not matter if the OT gets any as they can and should use all their defensive CDs at this point. A common practice I see is for the scholar to drop sacred soil on the OT which signals where the tanks want to gather the adds & for casters to know where to aim LB. DPS should use all their offensive cooldowns here and burn the 4 stack Aesclepius asap.

    OT-Hygeia--Aescelepius-MT

Basically you want all snakes stacked on top of each other, and have either tank on opposite directions. When TT comes back down for profusion, make sure everyone but the MT is in the other neurolink as she will immediately plummet down onto the MT. Everyone should also make sure to set focus target onto Twin as she'll start casting Twister. The summoner or scholar should also cast their trait boosted virus onto TT right before profusion to help mitigate outgoing damage.

    I hope this makes sense

    Xiaoyu,

It does and thank you very much. The latency comment should help a bit. SO when picking up the snakes, after I see the second DB (of the second set) I run to them and pick them up and position myself with them in "the middle" yes?

    So goes:

1st DB set > after second DB go grab snakes, Handle business and get ready for 2nd set
2nd DB set > Hold snakes and after second DB of this set move and get last two snakes and position then in "the middle" as your diagram suggests.

Is this correct? Am I understanding it correctly.

After we get past the snakes and the twisters start, my job is stun span in DK when it spawns, and avoid twisters, correct?
Then after that its just standing with the tank in his neurolink and waiting for eggs?

Thank you again for your response.

Aesclepius and 2 hygeia will spawn after the 3rd db in the first set, so here you will be dodging with the group (they spawn right outside the pit). At this time OT should be holding hate on both the hygeia and dps should bring them both down to 50% before focusing on Aesclepius. The second db on the second set is divebomb #5 so dodge normally like you did before, but right after db #5 proceed to run into position to pick up the adds. Everyone else should be going back into the pit to dodge db #6 (third db of second set). When picking up the new adds, use HG here so to avoid taking any damage as your healers may not be close enough to heal you (this also gives you time to build hate before any heals go off).

You are right for twisters/dreadknights but be sure to remember to space out shield bashes so as to maximize stun duration (6s, 4s, 2s) . Remember you must be #2 on TT's emnity list for DK to not target you so make sure you keep threat above any dps or healers.

Leave to pick up the snakes after second divebomb, as suggested, but make sure you pop Tempered Will so you won't get knocked into the wall. I ask my OT to tank them where they spawn and the raid move to the spawn point to lb and kill the adds before repositioning near the neurolinks. Make sure you cycle through you're big cooldowns as this is the most healing intensive part of the fight. Your designated healer should be able to cast cure between each divebomb movement but if they are struggling to keep you topped off you'll need to use hallowed ground. Have your WHM stoneskin the MT before ethereal perfusion and you stoneskin the MT again after to help mitigate damage from plummets or death sentence while everyone is repositioning.

Next phase, make sure you are second on hate so you are not targeted by the dread. You may need to provoke twin on occasion but time it carefully so you don't get yourself and the melee plummeted. Stun the dread 3 times making sure the previous stun wore off. After dread phase you will just stand in the neurolink and absorb hatches. If you are targeted for liquid hell you will rotate cooldowns and stoneskin yourself while the WHM heals you through it. If the MT is targeted he will just stack them then rotate so he isn't standing on them.

If you are going as BLM use manawall to eat 2 divebombs to maximize your dps. Cast lethargy on the dread after stuns wear off.

Good luck with your twin kill!

    All,

TYVM for all your input on this, I have absorbed and am ready to put it to use. Anyone on Diabolos btw? I am looking for a static to get into.
