Animus FATE Requirement

I'm here to talk about how rediculous having Fates as part of the animus books makes no sense. With gathering the atma's you could do any fate and there were always fates up. Yes there was lots of RNG involved but you were continuously doing something. With forcing us to participate in specific fates to complete the books SE is making us literally sit there...and do nothing...waiting for a fate to spawn. This can sometimes take up to 1 to 2 hours. Having a game where in order to proceed you have to sit down and do NOTHING for extended periods of time is just rediculous. It makes it almost impossible for casual players to do and wastes everyones time including the hardcore. I propose that they remove the fate requirement entirely from the books or alter it so it's maybe any fate in a particular zone as opposed to a specific fate.

i actully dont mind this part. i actually enjoy it alot because the atma is evil besides if i wait 20 mins later i normally just go get something else from the book done and then come back later or i listen to music or make a game to play while i wait. i try to find a way to make it fun besides tis not supposed to be easy how do we know later on it might get harder? i like the fate requirement cause it helps me with my challenge log.

i'll probably try to hunt stuff I can use for crafting whie waiting for these fates. Fleece if coerthas, as example.

So what your saying is in order to progress in your Animus quest in FFXIV you have to entertain yourself by NOT playing FFXIV...

Not everyone crafts and you are still stuck in one zone that the fate is in while you wait for it to pop.

I like fates in general I just think making it a requirement to complete a specific fate with no specific time that it can happen is stupid.

I pretend it's a XI NM and the nearby mobs are placeholders.

Or craft. Although the cooldowns can be annoying when it does pop.

I did that on my first book which needed Seps fate. I did not make it to the fate in time from the sheep that are out the west gate of Dragonhead. The folks that stood around the fate spawn spot killed it too quick

So happy I wasn't the only one to do that lol, told myself the more I kill the more chance for NM to spawn (knew it wouldn't) but hey killed the time

The one in Eastern Thanalan for my first +Vit book on my Bravura Atma... Two days. Two days in that zone because the times I was on it wasn't up. Thankfully it was just kill a bunch of small furby looking things and ended quickly when it finally did spawn.
