If you gate atma/animus behind bosses - You just made another weathered weapon.

If you make it based of quests - You'd need about as many scenario quests as currently exist total to even create any type of time sink. It's really not reasonable to release that much content for 1 stage of an item.

RNG/Grind is a perfectly fine alternative to weathered weapons which require the skill and patience against other players going for weathered weapons.

It almost all plays parallel. Levi requires a mirror with an extremely low drop rate to achieve 100. Animus requires 12 rng atmas and 13,500 myths which require less skill and more time, and weathered requires more skill and less time to a degree (based on if you get the unidentified tomestone and are beating T7)

Reward - The grind sucks...the reward feel great once it's done.

^^ This, an so much this! I am so sick of these stupid atma whiners. If you dont like it, dont do it. Its that simple. There are 2 other paths to choose from for getting high lv weapons, go after one of those. Oh wait, ya'll wont go after those either cuz they are even harder to get. Ya'll just want to get a free max-lv weapon for 0 effort when everyone else has to work for theirs. "The grind sux, droprate sux" Blah Blah. You know what, some of us like a grind, an have been asking for something to grind on in this game cuz befor patch 2.2, everything could be achieved in 1 month, an everyone would unsub till the next patch. If thats what ya'll want to do, why not just unsub now, an save yourself some money an the rest of us some greef. I mean, you were all told ahead of time before the quest was even put in game, that it would take a longtime, an not many people would have it complete by the time of the next quest addition, but all ya'll heard was, "Ooooo New shiny, gimme gimme, now now"
