I put perhaps... 100 hours total into FATES (my achievements went up 1300 fates) for my 12 Atma. Put into perspective, an 8 hour grind per Atma perhaps isnt so bad. It's not much diffirent than having to run 20 dungeons for your points to buy something.

Looking back on it, it wasnt -that- terrible of an ordeal. Sure, i hated how some people collected all 12 in a day, and other people still dont have any. But for all we know the people who have been taking a month with it have only done 5 one-minute fates a day or something similar. It's random, yes. But it's quite doable. When my weapon is finished and i have to work on another one, i dont think i'll really mind doing the grind all over again (although i'll be a bit less fanatical)

The books however, yeah, 1500 per book is a bit much. Especially considdering you dont just get the stats, you are buying tasks to accomplish with those 1500 points. You still have to manage to complete the tasks (which isnt easy).

You cant just expect to put 5 minutes into it and get an Atma. It's easily an 100 hour investment. If you decide to spread those 100 hours out across 50 days, or go 4-days straight for your points that's besides the point. The time investment seems solid, and any sort of nerf for what can only be seen as "casual content" would be an absolute shame.

All in all. The grind was good for this Atma Weapon. I liked the level of commitment and difficulty. Everyone can do it, if you spend a few hours a day or many hours. You will get it eventually. Just the 1500 Myth books are bit steep.
You're easily looking at 270 Hardmode Dungeons of 50 Myths each. Even at 10 dungeons a day that will still take a month, most people dont do that many even (i myself do maybe 3 at most so i'll take 3 months). And then you still have to accomplish the 9 book tasks.
