It's a game indeed, and games are meant to be fun. Introducing a quest line like the Atma weapon isn't challenging or "difficult": the new letter from the producer talks about the "difficulty" in obtaining Atma, but the entire problem is that it's not difficult. It's easy. It's just incredibly tedious and involves going through the same motions over and over again. They gave us more experience from dungeons to fix FATE grinding tedium, and now they want us to go back to that.

The Atma system is flawed, and doesn't have a clear direction. Who is this even meant for? Hardcore players who can beat Second Coil have better options. Midcore players who can farm Leviathan EX have a much less tedious alternative. Casual players who only play one or two hours a day? Please. By the time they've got an Animus weapon, we're rocking patch 2.6.
