    1) Set the atma drop to a certain fate in each area.
    2) Drop the cost of books to at least 900, or lower.

Going around with a random atma drop is so aggravating. I've fated with people who get their drop within one fate, and it takes me 20+ hours. We can focus on doing the dungeons more if you remove the aggravating fate grind. I am not having fun doing this quest. The purpose of the game is to have fun, not want to throw your controller across the room. Making a level 50 character do fates, which are intended to earn experience, is pointless. We are wasting time while we cannot use the experience gained.

At the same time you are having level 50 characters obliterate level 2 fluffy thing fates, so that low level characters cannot even get to them in time. It is not doing a service to low level toons who want to use fates to level. I suggest that you offer the availability to fate under a lower level class on that character to do the fates, and actually use the experience gained during the fate. This way we can advance our character instead of bash our heads against a wall for hours.

I really like an idea of maybe after a certain amount of fates the drop rate will increase a percentage until you finally get one, and then reset and repeat. Makes the unlucky actually feel like they're accomplishing something at least. Although honestly any improvement would make things so much better.

This is a good solution. Hope they listen

Some people are confusing working "hard" to get it and they missing the whole point. The atma system and myth collection fvor books are unreasonable. Especially sitting for 4 hours for one of the BOOK fates to pop up is NOT "working hard". Just comical

Drop rate increased + 900 per book sounds good to me

Good solution above or just set it to 100 fates per zone per atma take rng out completely
    This way
    A. you have a set target
B.you can group up and get atmas at the same time
C.every 1 has the same amount of "work" to do

ATMA is NOT hard work... it's boring non-work. It's mindnumbingly boring. I've mostly given up on ever getting an atma weapon(3/12 after probably 48h of trying). Only reason I do fates anymore is to get GC seals for engineering manuals. I can't level any other class with fates(not that I only use that at all) but this would help give it dual purpose.

My time is limited as is probably a lot of thores with work and stuff to do. I still manage to clock a decent amount of hours to do a lot of things but never enough to do everything I'd like to do(I hardly ever touch beast tribes quests simply because by the time I'd get to them someone would want some help on some more fun run).

I put perhaps... 100 hours total into FATES (my achievements went up 1300 fates) for my 12 Atma. Put into perspective, an 8 hour grind per Atma perhaps isnt so bad. It's not much diffirent than having to run 20 dungeons for your points to buy something.

Looking back on it, it wasnt -that- terrible of an ordeal. Sure, i hated how some people collected all 12 in a day, and other people still dont have any. But for all we know the people who have been taking a month with it have only done 5 one-minute fates a day or something similar. It's random, yes. But it's quite doable. When my weapon is finished and i have to work on another one, i dont think i'll really mind doing the grind all over again (although i'll be a bit less fanatical)

The books however, yeah, 1500 per book is a bit much. Especially considdering you dont just get the stats, you are buying tasks to accomplish with those 1500 points. You still have to manage to complete the tasks (which isnt easy).

You cant just expect to put 5 minutes into it and get an Atma. It's easily an 100 hour investment. If you decide to spread those 100 hours out across 50 days, or go 4-days straight for your points that's besides the point. The time investment seems solid, and any sort of nerf for what can only be seen as "casual content" would be an absolute shame.

All in all. The grind was good for this Atma Weapon. I liked the level of commitment and difficulty. Everyone can do it, if you spend a few hours a day or many hours. You will get it eventually. Just the 1500 Myth books are bit steep.
You're easily looking at 270 Hardmode Dungeons of 50 Myths each. Even at 10 dungeons a day that will still take a month, most people dont do that many even (i myself do maybe 3 at most so i'll take 3 months). And then you still have to accomplish the 9 book tasks.

    atmas are bs

rng fate grinding is the laziest and most bs thing i have seen put into a video game. rng = you may never get it.

For Atma, there should be a protocol, where you can obtain it under 2 conditions:

    1 is RNG

2 is when X amount of FATE in the area is completed while using relic, Atma will be granted regardless
