    it seems even after a few try's game patches up launcher still comes up with same error
    or is very slow to load up

    Damn squareenix can't never get their crap straightened up... same error here, I even took a day off of the game in case hiccups would start coming up but for real, 48 hours after patch and still can't play the damn game...

    I'm no computer genius but when the error code mentions the latest patch (...2014-4-24-14), maybe that's the issue.

    If it has been 48 hours, this is the wrong thread for you. This thread is about problems with the 2.25 patch. This was installed this morning about 3-5 hrs ago.

    I deleted ff14 folder in Mydocuments, then restarted launcher and it worked. Backup your char data folders and char config before your do so. (don't backup boot.cfg, seems to me that file is the 1 corrupting your launcher)
