already said how to fix it in above post it happens when that website which is listed in error is stressed due to amount of ppl downloading patch or trying to log in at same time. same thing happened last year

I'm also having this problem, I've gotten a black screen of death multiple times now.

I have not tried restarting yet, I'm not sure if that'll really do anything or not.

Should I just wait it out or should I just reinstall the whole thing?

I had that exact same message. I cleared my internet cache as kaya_suzumiya said to do. It didn't work immediately but after some more tries it's patching now.

just close the launcher and reopen it. make sure u clear internet cache.

if that doesnt work u gotta wait seeing as website is understress due to amount of ppl logging on and downloading patch. but yeah when it gives u that error all u gotta do is close the launcher and reopen it to fix it tho if website is busy u will still need to wait probs 5mins before reopening launcher so it doesnt give u error again but u can keep trying just as long as u close launcher when error comes up and reopen it.

same issue same error , web site / forums acting wonky as well .. launcher crashes
