No point arguing about all that now. Those that were lucky enough to get your atma weapons, just be glad that lady luck smiled upon you.
Remember, this is an MMORPG, not a Single Player RPG.
Your experience and enjoyment does not equate to Square Enix's income.
The majority of the community's enjoyment equates to Square Enix's income.
10 happy customers paying $14.99 monthly compared to 1000 happy customers paying $14.99 monthly, do the math.
Square doesn't care that you can't progress your animus because you lucked out earlier than many many others.
Square cares that a MAJORITY of the playerbase have yet to get it be it either due to bad luck or loss of interest due to all the "See you later!" and "Don't do it if you don't like it!" posts. Along with all the "It can't be that long, I got 3 Atma weapons already, in a span of 2 days per weapon".
Bah what does it matter anyway, even if they did release the upgrade this patch, the same bunch would be crying for more in 2.28, 2.3 and more. They will never be satisfied. What was that term used to describe these people again? Oh right, content locusts.

They probably thought people would be on their 5-6 book, not 1-3 book. So they are thinking up ways to adjust the pacing.
2.28 would probably land in 2 weeks or so anyway. Given how most people are surpised 2.25 landed a measly 4 weeks in.
Atma Segment; 12~60+ hours
Myth Segment; 13500 Myth or 270x Brayflox Longstop (HM); 50+ hours*
*Book Segment; 3x FATE, 3x Leve, 3x Dungeon, 10x 10x Monsters; 2~3+ hours
Atma is clearly in need of adjustment; the RNG factor makes it entirely too exorbitant as far as time invested. Mythology Tomes also need a adjustment; I'm saying roughly 50+ hours based on a perfectly in-tune group running Brayflox (HM) SR and that's without adding the breaks between runs to complete Books.
As far as difficulty goes; there is nothing particularly challenging about any of the content involved. However, the time investment is clearly disproportionate to the reward. Many players have likely realized this and decided to wait until something changes before pursuing the Zodiac quest.
hmm well the thing did come out faster than expected and caught a lot of ppl off-guard.
however, if they want ppls to catch up they really need to fix the rng % of the current atmas....
thats it. they will make zodiac easier but atma's are still a pain in the ass lol.
2.25 patch may do that. Next phase of Zodiac ( Novus?) is delayed probably due to them fixing the Zodiac quest they already have out now. ( Yes they mention other reasons as to why it's delayed) but I think Atma drop rate may have gotten a buff ( I hope so).

Ok then i'm gonna say this. In theory, the majority of people must get what they want because by concept, more people will be happy.
For a video game, MMO, social and interactive and opinionfull gamers,
Why the producer don't give the majority what they want???? Even if the majority wants stupid things, the majority is always right!
Think about it carefully. Would it be THAT bad if they change the atma drop rate from 1% to 5%??? whould it be THAT bad if they changed the cost from 1500 to 100??
do this and you will never see a thread complaining about atma again.

Where do you get your drop rate percentages, is it something you made up, or is it something you read that other people made up. Also people will complain about anything, no matter what they do, if they raise the drop rates, then people will complain that it's just being handed to the people that aren't willing to put in the time. Also you can't judge the majority or minority of what players think based on the forums, most people that play the game don't visit the Lodestone or the forums.

Sounds to me they may feel that it is too grindy. Especially since more people are apt to bypass the Atma's in favor of other weapons instead. A waste of content.
This is also true, but I would hardly say that this takes work at all, nerf or not. It's much easier for someone to say that time wasn't put in when they were lucky on all 12 Atmas compared to Joe Schmoe who has been grinding the hell out of FATE and has nothing to show for it. I got two Atmas last night back to back(30 minutes feels like back to back). I wouldn't say I worked for it either. I just happened to show up. Then nothing for 5 hours after. The Atma time sink and RNG shouldn't be as brutal. I am fine with the books being as super grindy as they are but the drop rate should be more consistent.Where do you get your drop rate percentages, is it something you made up, or is it something you read that other people made up.
