Getting bored, I'm the only one?

Yup I'm bored, the dev team don't put out enough content each patch and we burn through it really fast.

I haven't tried Coil 2 yet but to be honest it seems out of reach for me anyway, so it may as well not exist for me right now.

I am amazed by the way everyone, and I mean everyone, who has complained about this game not having enough content will also readily admit that they have not experienced all of the content in the game yet.

Maybe you shouldn't have burned through the game so fast. Took some time out to smell the roses and all that. Why not start a new character from scratch if you are that bored.

I don't see how you guys even have enough hours in the day to complete all this stuff. I haven't even gotten my main class to 50 yet, and that's when all the cool stuff becomes available in the first place. Aside from that, I have not done a single DoH/L job, I have no good gear, have not done any kind of tome/myth/beastman/atma/whatever else there is to farm. Then there's the FC ranks and quests, my Chocobo companion, minions and mounts to get, HM dungeons... AND I want to max out PvP rank and get that sweet new armor.

If anything I have TOO MUCH to do and I'm afraid I won't be able to get to it all in time before it becomes irrelevant.

Depends... When did you start to play? Because no sense if you started to play a few weeks, month ago... I play since 24 of august of 2013.... 9 month... so is enough time for get bored if SE only add some bosses and 3 dungeons... and only 1 is new... the other is recicled ( "hard" mode )

I do this often too. Occasionally I'll run around town while /yelling at lalas to get back in their cages, that seems to make the boredom go away.

On pheonix there is regular bikini parties in limsa

I agree with the suggestion of player run events and "making your own game" within the game; it adds so much! I'm guessing this is why the rp servers are so busy...

There's so much for me to do, I don't have enough time to do it all even though I play a lot.

I'd be on an RP server, but all my friends are on Sargatanas.

Also, no, I'm not bored. I've been playing since September and have yet to max out my first job. I did take a pseudo-break in November due to work and then again in January and early February due to being super super sick, but otherwise I've played as much as I could. I'm just slower than most, I suppose. At least I know I'll always have content to run.

I'm pretty bored.

But not the type of bored I usually encounter with MMOs. I'm pretty bored with FFXIV generally but I still love the game the way it is.


XIV doesn't try to BS my time out of me, so I occasionally log on just to run a few dungeons or something.

You're not the only one...trust me. I find myself getting bored quite often, and it can be disappointing because I do enjoy challenges, but I just get a little burnt out from the same old stuff week after week. I definitely see myself taking a break sometime soon, probably by the time 2.3 rolls around after its hype and launch, but I would enjoy a little bit more variety in content to add that special something that would get me back into it more. Coil is fun, but sometimes I feel like I'm just being used to help others get loot while I fall behind and it ends up feeling like a chore more than fun...
I hope they add a new kind of raid besides Bahamut's Coil in the future that changes things up a little...something on a grander scale (that isn't a train wreck like CT can be) would be pretty insane imho.

I write this cause I'm getting bored in game, already killed all primals EX except King moogle EX, and still in T5 but... Coil isn't all in game... I guess people don't pay only for do Coil. After Coil there's not too much content, I have all crafts maximized too and can 3 stars with 3 of them. Also have my favorite clases at 50, and now I don't know what to do, I do dailys and a few more content, because dont know what to do, is always the same, farm leviathan EX, craft something.... this patch needed more content...

Right now I am busier than ever before. Struggling in T5 P3, struggling in Titan Ex, grinding for the elusive ATMA books, doing the new tribe quests, spiritbonding my ass to get my crafters and retainers well equipped, trying to equip my tanks, trying to fish the big fishes, trying to get the crafting master books, trying to get the new items for DOL. It's a mess I tell ya lol. I play 5-6 times per week from 3 hours under the week to sometimes 6-8 hours on the weekend. And still I have so many open goals left which is a good thing. I will nowhere near be done when the next major patch hits us.

This, and dumping content into the game in truckloads would only further separate those people in the same FCs that both do nothing but play 14 and do not have a lot of time to play, those who do not would feel they are getting further and further behind while people who have ground all content to extinction would also refuse to help them do yet another one of "those" dungeon runs.

Se in trying to please everyone has set themselves a tall order indeed, I am not an xi fanboy however it had a content focus that put everybody pretty much on the same track, this game has casuals, hardcores and elitists all over the map.
