    You're not the only one.

I've mentioned it before. The major patches 2.1 and 2.2 had major focus on "raiding" content which is what only the "hardcore" gamer are gonna rush to try and complete. The content that focus on the other types of players, gatheres, crafters, PvPers, and casuals, has been very minimal. 2.3 sounds like it is gonna be that change were there's gonna be more focus outside of raiding or equivalent amount of focus.

Only time will tell if 2.3 will be enough.

I admit that there's a lot of work and effort being placed into these individual major patches. Yet I do also acknowledge that they are heavily focus on certain aspects of the game. I hope Square-Enix realizes this too.

Any and all vertical progression MMO's can become boring quickly, especially when you hav a lot of spare time to play everyday and are able to burn through content. I know people tend to hate the FFXI examples, but it had so much additional horizontal progression it was crazy. ARR just needs time to add in that type of content.

I've been bored quite a bit since I finished the rock-and-log grind for my DoL gear. I'm now slowly building up enough gil and materia to max out all my DoH so I can get the rest of the gear (already have all Master recipe books). The process is not what I'd call fun at all. As far as the main story and end-game are concerned, I stopped when I got to CM.

I do want to clarify that my boredom has nothing to do with game design. Instead, it has everything to do with human design. There is plenty to do, but I just don't feel like doing any of it. That is on me, which is why I'm not complaining. I'm pretty sure this is the primary issue for most of the "bored" players. What I'm not sure of is why they choose to complain, instead of just accepting the truth and dealing with it.

Maybe it's just another flaw in human design.....

The gear treadmill always gets boring... with an incredibly linear system and little horizontal progression it gets boring faster.

That is the nature of a shallow game. The flip side is they are easier to develop, since systems are simpler... and theoretically you can pump out content to keep the theme park rides fresh.

If that slows down, then you outgrow the rides really quickly... and can get tired of trading one stat stick for another pretty rapidly.

You have tons of things to level, according to your Lodestone profile. You only have 1 gatherer maxxed, doubt its fully melded and has the next tier of gatherables open as well. Tons of combat classes to level, gear, relic, farm. Another option is FC events, do you have any, do you enjoy just hanging out with people doing random, nonsensical stuff? Gather up 8 people, do a bikini ifrit HM run. Make your own fun in the wierdest ways you can. 4tank WPs, 4acn class runs, 8 BLM CT parties, list goes on as to the weird ways you can find things to do if you search.

To be fair, not everyone finds all the jobs fun. If it's not fun for you then there's no point doing it. You can "look" for fun anywhere... isn't the point of paying for a video game that it is fun... not that it's someplace you go to have to look to find fun?

I am pretty sure if you are going to "look" for ways to have fun, you could find a kitten and a cardboard box and be entertained for hours..../get out of that box silly kitty! You can't fit in that box!

Ahhhh yes the whole make your own fun argument. If I was good at that I would be playing a f2p game.

Do content you don't enjoy for the sake of doing content.

It isn't Square Enix's fault that your imagination is lazy.
