    Bone Ring +2 and +3 useless...

    So after spending a bunch of gil to get my Goldsmithing up I spent a bunch more hunting down some +3 Bone Chips to create some rings from. Took a long time but managed to make several +2 and a few +3 versions. But upon comparison I realized something...

    The +2 and +3 versions add in no added benefits that a +1 doesn't already give. No extra defense, magic defense, or evasion. All that time/effort wasted for nothing. I'm hoping maybe this is just a glitch or there's a hidden bonus to using high quality versions beyond the standard +1. Bone rings are really the only useful rings up the stat rings that DoM classes can use.

    Nope, they don't do anything special to the stats that matter, unlike HQ items in FF11. They should.

    They should also add something special, visually, to your character to make their perceived value greater than it actually is.

    all gears have additional stat bonus for HQ

    they might calculate in %

    so the bone ring basic stat is just too low and make no different between +0 and +3


    example:

    Bone Ring has Defense = 1

    if +3 HQ = +30%

    Bone Ring +3 has Defense = 1.30

    It will be display in your UI as 1 anyway

    Yeah this is pretty much what I'm thinking. The numbers are too small to affect it with a 15% increase on +3.

    Rejoice! The repair is in %, but the repair "Max HP" still exists. Your +2s and +3s will have more "Max Repair HP" and not require repair as fast lol. Just hold onto them and see what the Materia Crafting system has in store for HQs.

    This here is the main issue with the crafting system in my opinion... besides maby the grind and repetition part.

    Atm the only HQ gears that matter are Weapons (add +5,10,15% Dmg, acc, and Crit rate.... this is really good) and armor for tanks.

    So unless you are a Glad/or other tank or buying a weapon... The HQ is 100% pointless.

    Square needs to use XI's HQ system where say:

    Bone Ring NQ = +2 Mag acc
    Bone Ring HQ1 = +2 Mag Acc and MP+2
    Bone Ring HQ2 = +2 Mag acc and MP+4
    Bone Ring HQ3 = +3 Mag Acc and Mp+6

    Or

    Vintage Haub NQ = Stats it has now
    Hq1 = +2 attack and +1 acc
    Hq2 = +3 attack and +2 acc
    Hq3 = +5 attack and +3 acc

    This would increase the usefulness based on quality and help the crafting market.

    Atm you have this happening:

    NQ=HQ1=HQ2=HQ3.... every single ring has the same end effect... and it is like this for all Armors and Accessory. (Unless you are tanking)

    I so agree with this... equipment should have some added "bonuses" for being HQ. I wear 3 Bone Ring +3 I made despite the fact the things don't have any additional benefit just because of the highest quality. But I really wish they'd have something additional to boast with it. These rings really are overlooked and there isn't much in the way of beneficial jewelry for DoM classes.
