Logging back in after connection lost

If you lose your ISP connection it takes approximately 10 minutes to get back into the game. Is there any way to fix this bug?

FFXI did not have this issue, or if it did, the time it took to log out your character during a crash must have been very low.

I suggest a fix to allow quicker log in, after ISP connection is re-established.

Yes, I definitely feel they should make getting back into the game after a disconnect faster.

It should be like in XI where when you try to log in on a character that is already in-game it kicks the character off, rather than not being able to log in due to your character still being in the game world.

it's not only like in XI

but it should be like in every MMO. why XIV can not deal with a little issue like this one?

I would suggest to set player session timeout at least 15 minutes.

Good for those who want to play 30 min , 15 min to play and 15 min to try get in back >< i believed ffxiv is for those who don't have much time too play lol. This is for sure one of the bIggest dark point of FFXIV . It happenned to me D/Cing 5 times in 2 hours so 75 min trying to log in back . Well the game is free , so it's not that bad but when we'll start to pay per month ... ... hope i won't give up 'cause of this .
