No.Because that's actually not how the Limit Break system here is designed - a Limit Break is based on party role, not your own class/Job, hence the animations are shared. When a Limit Break goes off it's not just the person who used the Limit Break doing the effect - the whole party is 'lending their power' so to speak to accomplish it.
As for the Buster Sword animation in the DD Limit Break, that can easily be handwaved away by saying 'it's aetherial' and a manifestation of the character's will or something. Really, you're over-analyzing what is simply a little bit of fanservice, an easter egg. Nothing more.
This argument was debated to death back on the Beta forum (I still remember the big who-ha which broke out there when the 'Crystal's Call' trailer showed it for the first time) so I really don't think going on about it at this point is really going to solve anything.
It is this.

I agree with the Limit break animations. It would be nice if each job had a differen't one, they could keep the same damage or effect as they have now but
a change would be awsome!
For example,
Dragoons, using one of Cid's limit breaks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7EjSCnX-lhk

I don't know how my monk even learned how to swing a sword.
I could see using the same LB form the class if the job has the same role.
That would've been way better than Final Heaven for DRGs.
Also, this should be Scholar's LB3 (sans damage) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-uQU-O4Has
Bumping because this needs to be addressed; for the sake of the game!
Summoner you mean maybe? That's a damaging attack when Scholar is a healer! XDThat would've been way better than Final Heaven for DRGs.
Also, this should be Scholar's LB3 (sans damage) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-uQU-O4Has
+1 to different limit breaks per job/class though!
Ohhh! I did not know that! Thanks for clearing it up, confused since there was damage and assumed they just had a timer auto-raise!
EDIT: That LB is a prime example of why hybrids/support/liner classes and jobs should be in the game! Would play it definitely![]()

i agree with the change for the limitbreak animation, but lets be realistic here, FFXIV just came back from the dead, i am sure all voices are being heard.
lets just assume that for now its not priority one at the moment.
but i do agree it needs to be revamp.
running/trying to be creative here, the following are my additional thoughts to the limitbreak
1)each class has at least 3 limitbreaks they can equip (doesn't matter if not all of them are damage type limitbreak)
but at least they could provide a different twist for every battle/boss encounter
2) limitbreak combinations - it would be epic if two or more class jobs can work together to perform a limitbreak depending on which limitbreak they have (or equip, if its implemented)
3) variations: limitbreak doesnt need to be just pure damage, make some it as buffs/debuff, terrain changing effect, (meteor would create a crater or something, which could be use to dodge some attacks or anything) or a Firaga would give like elemental terrain (like ifrits stage, the only difference is it will buff the fire type magic/attacks and weaken the opposite element further) or something like increase drop rate chance? (yeah i am talking bout you mirrors and mount)
i know this are all ambitious and long shot, lets just hope it gets revamp one way or another![]()
Love by some, hated by many envied by few... yet, wanted by plenty
