Did I just screw myself?

Ok so I completed the mission "Every little thing she does is Magitek" in cid's workshop, but I was on the phone with my GF as I was doing this so I wasn't thinking clearly and skipped the cut scene and proceeded to exit Cid's workshop, thinking the next part of the quest was outside. NOPE

So now I don't see the next part of the main story anywhere in Mor Dhona but if I go to recommendations i see it, but it shows it inside Cid's workshop, which I can't seem to access again! Does anybody know how I can fix this?!? If I can't finish the main story with this character and my only option is to create a new one from scratch, I won't do it. I'll just be done with this game.

Too bad somebody suggested talking to the ONE npc standing outside of the door that he needs to go in. Gotta thin the herd somehow.
