You are saying one is stronger then the other and its not you tested sch physick vs whm cure of course whm cure will seem stronger. Now if you test physick on whm and cure on sch you will see no difference. I misspelled a word whoopi do.
They are exactly the same spell, except Cure procs Freecure for a WHM. Just to disprove any of your notions, I just tested this in-game on my WHM and SCH. Both spells heal in the same range on the different jobs. There is no difference. If a SCH were to replace Physick with Cure in their healing kit they would not notice any difference in healing output. It does make sense..learn how to play sch right and you will realize why Physick isn't and shouldn't be a instant cast. Just because they appear to be the same doesn't mean they are. Cure and Physick are completely different in how they perform. Try parsing out Cure vs Phys as a sch, then do it as a whm.

As a few others have pointed out, the only thing it would accomplish is sucking up a cross class skill on SCH that could be used for something more useful, and with the suggestions in this thread giving WHM an rather useful spell on top of their more potent later level spells... Effectively all this would do is be a nerf to SCH and a buff to WHM rendering ACN's only utility being lvl'd to supplement WHM, and SCH being considered worthless in anything beyond lvl 15 dungeons, while right now SCH is a fairly effective single target healer that backs up WAR tanks well, and WHM being a far more effective AoE Healer, that does well with PLD. With Physic/Cure I being each classes basic heal, really more of a maintenance ability than their respective "Oh Crap! Things are going badly!" Ability.
Basically what I'm getting out of this is the OP wanting a Mini-Lustrate, which if that's what you want why not also ask for a Mini-Benediction for ACN too?

No thanks. For the record, all jobs have silly cross-class abilities from their subjobs.
See for example the attack abilities you can take in between certain DoW classes that have no special effect uncomboed, like when cross-classing between GLD and MRD, what was it, Savage Blade and Skull Sunder? Useless.
Cure on PLD or Physick on BLM/SMN is in 99.9% of the cases in duties utterly useles, its potency is ridiculously low given those jobs' Mind stats, so much so that most enemies and bosses deal more damage than you can heal through if you do nothing but spam these spells non-stop. A lower-potency, instant-cast Physick would be even more useless for BLM/SMN than it is already, as being tied to the GCD even as instant-cast, it would be too weak to be of any tangible use. It's currently mostly only good for open world content and caster dps who are flying solo.
@anybody who thinks Blizzard II or Surecast are useless: lol.

Blizzard II is only useful for spamming in Fates for credit. It has stupidly low potency since the nerf and I've not wasted my time using it in any other content since. If you advocate using it for the bind effect, then Freeze is a better option since you can at least choose your targets.
As for Surecast... it's such niche use that it's practically a wasted slot. It doesn't last long enough to help in protracted fights, and if it's so crucial that you need to cast, then using Surecast is only going to waste more time than you save. If you're that strapped for firing important cures, Swiftcast guarantees it will fire, and in a fraction of the time! Furthermore, Surecast does NOT guarantee success! You can still be interrupted using this skill depending on the circumstances. Not so with Swiftcast.
On topic, while it would be nice for players to maybe have a reason to equip Cure on Scholar or Physick on White Mage I'm not sure how you could make changes without it devastating the core mechanics of those jobs. Both rely on cure and physick to do the bulk of the healing work, so any drastic changes would be reviled by healers. Since Cure has a proc bonus for white mages, perhaps Physick could apply a small non-stacking cure buff on the target (say 5%) so that subsequent heals would restore a little more HP. Just an idea.

they have different animations
this isn't a good idea, scholars don't have an extra cross class slot to spare.
No, they're exactly the same. Any differences you parsed were due to varation in gear and/or base MND between the two jobs.

Another thing about Cure and Physick being virtually the same spell is that it is simply a result of how SE have designed the start of the game with starting city locked to the guild location of a class, while also locking access to the Limsa Lominsa - Vesper Bay ferry until the player gains their airship pass at level 15.
Before then, those who start in Limsa Lominsa (i.e. ACN and MRD) are therefore stuck on Vlybrand until they've progressed sufficiently in the story, meaning they would be unable to access Gridania to gain the CNJ class and therefore learn healing magic (ala, Cure) to cross class, unlike those in Ul'dah who can simply hike it to Gridania on foot or hire a chocobo after they've unlocked the Armoury System. Hence Physick's low-level acquisition by ACN.
This is also why no class in Ul'dah gains effective healing abilities of their own, other than PGL's Second Wind, which due to it's high recast time is not very effective for solo healing other than for an emergency.
I'm not too concerned at them both being copies of each other (other than Cure being able to proc FreeCure), but maybe ACN and it's Jobs could get a trait that boosts it's effectiveness like how CNJ gets MND boosts for Cure potency would make it more useful on it's native class.
