I felt the same way as the OP until I was queuing up roulette and running CM or Prae for the thousandth time. By then, I just wanted my reward as quickly as possible. Most groups now are speedrunners and the 1 or 2 people watching cutscenes are the minority.

I'm not saying it's right to ignore someone's wishes because they're the minority. What I am saying is the queue times are going to be looooong if the only people running CM or Prae are ones who actually need it for story. SE's solution may not be perfect but it's good to have some perspective. You can have long queue times and go at your own pace or you can have quick queue times and have to skip CS or boss battles.

There are other possibilities (like making CS unskippable) but you have to be careful with that because if the reward is not equal to the time, people just won't run it again and you'll be back to your long queues. Right now, you'd need to double or triple the amount of myth to make that option viable. I gave up on Main Story roulette as Brayflox HM speedruns became faster.

It's a complex situation because you have other dungeons (like Bray) contributing to people's time vs. reward assessment.

As a side tangent, SE still doesn't realize that the tank rewards need to be even bigger. I can literally craft something in 2 min that gets me more gil than the laughable roulette bonus for being an adventurer in need. So basically Bray x 3 and 2 min of crafting in the amount of time as ONE Story roulette. And that's if the Story roulette is a speedrun.

TL;DR version is be happy you can queue for these dungeons at all anymore...
