

Ok, I updated the OP.Then read the post which was quoted earlier. Simply put, it's easier to get equipment to fit better when everyone fits to a universal type. One of the reasons 1.0 failed was because the detail was astronomic, even in areas which didn't need it. Flowerpots had the same amount of detail as player characters, for example.
In order to streamline everything to keep the action flowing at a good pace, sacrifices were made which included the original models. Honestly, I don't really stare at my characters bottom enough to care much about making them prettier. I realise it might be a growing concern for the teenage boys that they have less to oggle, but honestly can't we just enjoy the game for the gameplay instead of turning every female figure into eye candy?
