    How come this game got a mechanic to avoid trash mobs????

    In almost every single other mmo , they do not got a reason to avoid the trash. And a reason to go through the dungeons thrash mobs. This game lost the sight. To the point if you do not know how to hide on the the trash pulls and avoid them SOL, good luck your not fast enough and half the time it is just get 4 people and leave the dungeons and not finish them.

    Having a tank pull 10+ mobs together to speed run it lame and AOE them is just as lame.

    At least since most just want to avoid the trash give a 5 min invis. Since the reward at the end, Is at the most worthless in a day or tokens in a day.

    This is one only of the only mmo i ever seen or played in last 7 yrs and you/ others ever have seen were you need to youtube on how to avoid the trash mobs. And if you do not follow there way rage quits on it and people like why subscribe.

    I would love to offer an answer to that, but I couldn't actually pull out the main focus... are you saying we can or can't avoid trash mobs?

    Really? He was easy to understand, even if it wasn't perfect English. He wants to know why we have ways to skip Trash, when in most games, you can't skip nearly as much if any at all.

    I see some people didn't understand the OP, well if I understand right, he's complaining that parties don't like players who don't know how to avoid 100% of the avoidable trash mobs, because then they slow down the party, and also he doesn't like that players quit before the run is finished (I suppose it's the myth tomes case).

    He doesn't like speed running and thinks it's lame.

    I think he says a sarcasam about: "If everyone just avoid the mobs why not give them invisible buff for 5 min at the start?"
    And that the reward at the end is worthless.

    It's the only MMO he played where he needed to watch a video on how to avoid trash before running a dungeon, or else people ragequit.

    The problem lies on game design, SE is putting trash mobs in dungeons that serve no purpose. You can't blame players for that. Personally I only enjoy the boss fights, I could fall asleep while fighting the trash mobs.

    Some ways to fix:

    1. On lv 50 EXP is useless, how about adding some kind of merit system that will boost our stats or give us additional tomes per trash mob.
    2. More tomes reward for clearing the whole of the dungeon.
    3. Make trash mobs actually fun to fight...? It's FATEs all over again lol

    On 1.0 we had a lot of fun mechanics on trash mobs. For example on Dzamael Darkhold, we were not supposed to actually kill all of the trash but only the right mobs, and had to advance together in order to win.
    In Cutter's cry we had to kill 2 specific trash at the same time or else they keep repop.

    Here it's just mindlessly kill the same thing with a different skin until boss, 1-2 min of fun, then boring again until next boss ( > . >

    Edit: One dungeon that comes to mind on ARR that did it right is The Sunken Temple of Qarn: Got the trash bees that needed to kill first before they Final Sting the healer lol, got the stone heads that have to kill on pads, got the gators that must not be attacked from the back.

    The purpose of trash monsters is to provide some kind of resistance to just running straight to the boss, it seems the XIV community is allergic to it though, OP has a point ...in other MMOs you are forced to go through trash to get to the boss, even in WoW.

    Another thing people always say how WoW is easy mode, but chances are if you ran in and gathered up 4-5 packs of mobs in a dungeon you would die pretty damn quickly.

    We don't need to make our characters any stronger or there will be even less challenge to these dungeons and more importantly end game content.

    SE should focus on more lock out mechanics in dungeons so :-
    1) people can't ignore trash ... SE have done this to some extent with the new dungeons and the gates that unlock or keys that drop.
    2) SE need to add a debuff for pulling too many packs of mobs. (Frenzy)
    3) SE need to split the myth/sold evenly across all boss encounters.
    4) Speed runs need to be killed, they cause way too much aggro and bitching and just makes for a bad community in general.

    But that is what dungeons are ... you should know this before going in there, if you don't like it .. go fight primals instead.

    And even though I have the ability to speak, read and write more than one language which can be really helpful understanding things even if it isn't in absolutely perfect grammar I have trouble grasping the context of what the topicstarter is trying to tell us.

    You can actually attack them from the rear, you can lure the tail move by standing behind them for just a split second.
    After they swipe it gives you a good few seconds window to perform your rear combos.

    I think it was not intentional. Now, people expect it. Some people are in a rush to get more tomes and through content. People discovered the SR and sac pulls etc... and there you go.

    I re edit it some . Just last few days on duty roulette , I just want to run the dang thing normal or what not and people like speed run , and most of the time it would be like few other like wtf that. and they leave and then down to lower members. Or get people arguing about what way they want to speed run the stuff.

    I like have it so every 1 trash mobs kill and at lv 50 get one mythic coin and only way get the bonuse is if it is finished. So possible get 220 mythic in a run, and on the raid stuff be every 5 trash mob killed be soilder one on the end boss, and have a unique chest pop up if all mobs killed for a rare drop extra chest for gear like for coils.

    Right now on the elite players get 50 myth every 7 min anyways or 450 soilder tokens in 6 hrs.
