Since most the gear you get from the treasure maps or levs quests. Be nice if there is a way maybe that if a crafter had 5 pieces of the gear they can random roll the gear to a few tokens or a way to make it as a meld that can add a extra spot on i70+ stuff. Sucks turning in the +6 extra stats pink gear into a grand company.

Pretty sure that (aetherial) gear was only out there to help you while leveling to 50. Once you hit 50 you can use the crafted (gryphonskin, vanya, etc) or DL gear, and then you move into your AF +1 gear.

The aetherial gear, which is what I'm guessing you're talking about, is actually pretty decent lvling gear when you are the appropriate lvl and I have gotten a few pieces in tam-Tara, satasha and copperbell, that actually out classed Alcolyte and Foestriker gear. And once you out lvl them they're a decent source of GC currency that with the retainer ventures finally has a decent use after you've bought what GC gear/minions you want. And if you're willing to spirit bind them, they can yield pretty valuable materia as well. Asking for them to give you even more out if them seems a little greedy.
