I am disgusted by this system as it actually can make low level players have a harder time FATE leveling which also is one of the main methods of leveling certain classes.

These FATES get destroyed, particularly in low level zones and that just seems like a total waste of the system.

Would have been better if you at least made these Atma tie in to the hundreds of mobs out in the open field people (excluding bots) never grind.

Seriously? If anything it's been made easier. Before it was hard to do fates with practically no other players to do them with. At least that's true on my server, which is pretty popular.

And even if it did make fates harder for low level players, I think you're highly over-exaggerating when you say it disgusts you lol.

Leviathan EX Weapons: Require a coordinated group to farm the Weapons / Mirrors, maybe I'm a casual (whom I'm sure you'll continue to grief to admitting so)

Soldiery Weapons: Require Turn 6 to acquire (See my Levi EX comment above)

You say these aren't for you, because you are a casual, don't want a coordinated group, but

A challenge would have been to tie Atma into beasts like Titan etc where you had to at least demonstrate a level of skill or coordination to clear

In another post in a thread regarding the whole atma whining, you say you want atma to involve a group based coordinated challenge.

I've even resorted to giving into conspiracy theories about the Japanese Standard Time grind (known as server time +1 to some), still nothing for hours.

I tried that method too without success. I was stuck on this for a long time too, but in the end I got the last 10 atmas within 6 hours, which completely contradicts that time theory. The difference in drop rates is too big to be coincidence though. There has to be some order to it, so that one atma will drop more likely than others. So anyone stuck on this I can only recommend to switch areas frequently, if you have been there for 10 fates without a drop, you're in the wrong area. Keep a list to make sure you don't forgot any area.

im sure im just one of evil lucky people but i really didnt have to put that much work into getting the atmas at all. maybe 12 hours total split up between waiting on DF queues, doing daily quests, and just standing around chatting. i think the longest i spent in one zone was 3 hours in e than, but that was mainly because i was chatting more than chasing FATE. if i went too long in one zone without seeing an atma i would usually move to another. similar to how people play the slots in vegas

I can understand your frustration, I think this kind of frustration isn't new and is pretty easy to relate to; but without knowing your objective, you do sound a bit contradicting though, with the above list.

If you feel that having a coordinated group to get Leviathan EX weapon or Soldiery weapon is too hardcore, than you don't really need those weapons at the first place, as those weapons are intended for harder contents afterward.

If you don't want to go for the group route (from your post, I'm just going to assume this is the hard route for you), then the option is the "easy" route but a time sinking of RNG. As you bluntly stated that coordinated group is not your thing, then what other things you want to do in the game that this time-sinking is taking away from you?

From your posts, seems like you just want the weapon for having the weapon, in that case, I guess vanity has a price if you don't want to fight for it?

I share your feelings op. Still grinding on mine having started the day that 2.2 came and some players get theirs right away it seems, not rewarding at all for those of us that put far more hours into oh so boring fates
Also just to add that low lvl fates as blm (without scathe ability) is very much impossible to do against say Bards, so there is the rng and the unfair factor. Luckily i also have a Bard but feel for those
with only a blm class.
At this point i am ready to say the heck with it and just try for Leviathan weapon

You only have to hit one enemy to get a chance for an Atma. Don't tell me you can't get ONE hit in a Fate that has bards on your BLM...

well seeing as the area i have been has been all Bards or summoners, yes i could barely even get 1 hit. Always end up with Silver or bronze and you need Gold for atma to drop
