While it's true the "JPN/Server Time" method is a case of people being tricked by confirmation bias, it does help "grinding fatigue" by making you change venue.

Well to be honest, no one should be out there all day grinding for them. Should be breaking up the grind with other activities regularly to give yourself a break from it. People could probably try to pass off doing a dungeon once an hour as a method for making atma grinding easier, and people would believe it lol.

Go back and look at everything. It's never obvious, but there is always something there to assist you in figuring things out. If it's not left totally to an RNG, then they will drop subtle hints at things.

Honestly? I would be surprised if 2.25 doesn't do something to fix the drop rates.

Not that it bothers me any, personally, as I play a Warrior and none of the variants of Bravura have any Accuracy on them whatsoever, which therefore makes them completely and utterly worthless, but that is not to say I am without sympathy for people who have been grinding since day 1 of 2.2 to get their atmas and still don't have a complete set of crystals yet, because I do feel your pain. I eventually want to be able to complete the Zodiac weapon quest. Not for the weapon itself unless it allows me to put some accuracy on my Bravura, but moreso for the sake of completing the story of the Zodiac.

My fingers are crossed that something gets done!

I'd estimate >20hrs in that one area now. I do all the fates I can find. ALL of them. Always gold success, of course. Of course I have my Zenith weapon equipped. I know how it works. I do have 4 stones already from other areas. I don't have an atma weapon equipped. How could I. I only have 4 stones. Is 50 free inventory slots enough? 'cos that's what I have.

kiraan, I've seen and tried that system before. It makes no difference. It's just superstition (IMO). TY for the post though.

Of course not, who would have a problem with running Brayflox multiple times for 3 weeks straight?

I mean there's always a looming question of how efficiently someone is doing their FATEs, how well they're estimated their time, and various other factors. Do they only do areas where they can FATE solo? Actually my older brother told me of a general rule they'd use on the EQ forums when someone complained about the grind. They'd always assume they got twice as many drops as they said they did and in half the time. I'm pretty sure I was in Upper La Noscea for two 8 hour bricks before I got my Atma drop later the last night, granted I guess you can just apply the previous paragraph to me as well.

Well all the announcement said was that there will be a patch. As far as I know, there has not been a published list of changes for 2.25 yet.

And why would you be so sure it doesnt work? We can't clearly prove it works but you can't prove it doesn't either.

RNG is still RNG , you can go up to 90% drop and never see a drop. And as people say, its a nice change of pace as to not getting stuck in the same place for 24hrs+ on the same atma.

I did 700+ fate for my first set of twelve, i'm on less than 80 and at 6 already. Even if you don't think it works, the game think it does

I'm on 20/24 atmas and here's what I've noticed and helped me.

The first 12 I just grinded and grinded. I got 1 on the first fate and others took atleast 1hr max 5hr per drop changing zones every so often. I did it over the course of a week never spending more then 2hrs/day/zone. At this time limit I would simply log off and/do other things. I did get them all.

2nd set which I'm working on now following that reddit theory post. Im at 8/12. It's just that, a theory. Yes, I have had several drop within 20m on the zone Window, however I have spent an equal/ greater amount of time with nothing using the same strat. I've sat in zones for the full hour over a few days span and nothing. Others drop with 5 fates.

RNG is what it is. I do hope they adjust the drop rate though as somebody with the 3000 fate achievement before the patch, this is a boring grind. :/

I didn't say that I did 20hrs straight. I said 20hrs over 3 weeks. I can't bear to spend more than 1hr at a time. As I said before, worked for me for my first 4 stones, been 3 weeks since, and nothing. It's a flat 2% chance to drop, you can get it on the first fate in a new area you go to, or you can NEVER get it. Right now, I'm 3 weeks into never....

It is funny how quickly people dismissed the system. Even if it doesn't work does it really waste your time? If nothing else having a lot of people in the area at the same time will speed up the completion of FATEs. You should buy a few of these candles too


If grinding bothers you so much don't do it. I'm sure they'll add the damn things to dungeons or something at some point.

I haven't actively farmed any atmas, and I currently 13/12 and still need 6 for my 1st.
5 I have 2 of 1 I have 3 of.
Stop forcing it and just let it happened. Think of it like this. A watched pot doesn't boil. Well it does but time seems to go buy slowly. Traveling threw area, Always as my 50's with zeith oo fate pop I should kill them 1-2 mins later 10 other people join fate over 2 mins later. hope on bird keep going to zone I was playing to go to, repeat.
