Atma Fate System Broken

Been in Outer La Noscea for 3 weeks now. Nothing.
I managed to get 4 stones over a week, for about 12 hours of fate grinding for those 4. Three weeks on now, nothing. Not a thing.
There are some people on my server running around with 3 Atma weapons unlocked.

This is not a fair, just, and imbalanced system that rewards perseverance. It is a mind numbing irritating stone wall of a middle-finger to the players caught on the wrong side of the RNG. To make matters worse, I was in a fate party there. For two of them, they got their stone, within 30 minutes of even being there.

Yeah, me, 3 weeks on, real hard to say "congrats". Real hard.

Needless to say, I give up, until something is changed. Y'all can shove your atma and your stupid system for unlocking them where the sun don't shine.

I'm almost on week 4 and 0/12 still. I feel your pain this system sucks.

If it wasn't FATEs it wouldn't be so bad :/

note to op are you doing all fates in that area it can take as much as five hours and make shur you have your zenith wep equiped and also you will get no atma if you have an atma wep the more you do at an gold rating the better the chances are and make shur you have inventory space or you wont get one

Since we have to fight RNG with what we can, try this:

Put the time ( in upper right) to server time and do fates as follows: ( both AM/PM works)

Atma of the MAIDEN - Central Shroud - 1:00 (13.00)

Atma of the SCORPION - Southern Thanalan - 2:00 (14.00)

Atma of the WATER BEARER - Upper La Noscea - 3:00 (15.00)

Atma of the GOAT - East Shroud - 4:00 (16.00)

Atma of the BULL - Eastern Thanalan - 5:00 (17.00)

Atma of the RAM - Middle La Noscea - 6:00 (18.00)

Atma of the TWINS - Western Thanalan - 7:00 (19.00)

Atma of the LION - Outer La Noscea - 8:00 (20.00)

Atma of the FISH - Lower La Noscea - 9:00 (21.00)

Atma of the ARCHER - North Shroud - 10:00 (22.00)

Atma of the SCALES - Central Thanalan - 11:00 (23.00)

Atma of the CRAB - Western La Noscea - 12:00 (0.00)

Obviously its not guaranted drop, but i found it helps for my second atma weapon.

I'd estimate >20hrs in that one area now. I do all the fates I can find. ALL of them. Always gold success, of course. Of course I have my Zenith weapon equipped. I know how it works. I do have 4 stones already from other areas. I don't have an atma weapon equipped. How could I. I only have 4 stones. Is 50 free inventory slots enough? 'cos that's what I have.

kiraan, I've seen and tried that system before. It makes no difference. It's just superstition (IMO). TY for the post though.

The false trick method that doesn't work

Just to let you know, that whole method people been trying doesn't work. The time has no effect on the drops. If there was a trick to getting atma, Square would have given you some means of finding it out. Atma's are a 2% drop rate item. It's all up to the RNG. If you don't get one, that sucks but it's the way it works.

Honestly? I would be surprised if 2.25 doesn't do something to fix the drop rates.

Not that it bothers me any, personally, as I play a Warrior and none of the variants of Bravura have any Accuracy on them whatsoever, which therefore makes them completely and utterly worthless, but that is not to say I am without sympathy for people who have been grinding since day 1 of 2.2 to get their atmas and still don't have a complete set of crystals yet, because I do feel your pain. I eventually want to be able to complete the Zodiac weapon quest. Not for the weapon itself unless it allows me to put some accuracy on my Bravura, but moreso for the sake of completing the story of the Zodiac.

While it's true the "JPN/Server Time" method is a case of people being tricked by confirmation bias, it does help "grinding fatigue" by making you change venue.
