Get rid of the heavy effect when getting hit by mobs

It doesn't do anything for the game except being annoying. Either get rid of it and make it convenient to run around or make a more dangerous open world that actually requires attention.

Let me add this note. The only reason I suggest getting rid of it is because Yoshi already decided to make the open world casual. So why not take another step and just get rid of this annoying and pointless debuff.

If Yoshi actually wants to change his mind about the open world then sure, keep it and make mobs more dangerous. But he's not going to.

So how is it going to be dangerous if you remove the Heavy effect? You are seriously contradicting yourself there.

Please actually take 10 seconds to read my post. There is an "or" in between the two.

Being "heavy" isn't dangerous. Though I have heard cases of morbid heaviness summoning leviabeetus.

Serious answer? Make stronger open world mobs? Take out heavy, but still allow people to be knocked off Chocobos.

They should remove the heavy effect... and replace it with something worse.

When was the last time you ever got knocked off a chocobo? They should ditch the heavy effect and replace it with an effect that knocks you off, forcing you to either run for it on foot or defeat whichever enemy knocked you off before you can remount.

Traveling is too coddled in this game and needs some sort of hindrance and this should just be the beginning.

Take the beastmen strongholds as an example. These should be the toughest open world areas but it's all zip in sip out on your chocobo with zero fuss. On top of increasing the range enemies will follow you they need to ditch all the automatic doors and force people to dismount, deal with any aggro and open the doors themselves before moving on.

Hell, there should be areas of the game where calling your mount returns a "Your call quietly echoes without a response" message forcing you to walk.

Being slowed is not dangerous when my autoregen is more than what I'm being hit for. It's more an annoyance than anything. If the mobs hit for a thousand or so damage that's a different story.

I really like PlanckZero's idea. I also agree with the OP. I also really hate the heavy effect. It's pretty pointless.

It's even more annoying when they refresh heavy only to get leashed back to their spawn. <_<+

When the mob is below your current level I totally agree with it.

When the move is higher then your level I think a heavy adds a sense if risk going threw a area you maybe shouldn't be in.

    Commendations.
If I play dps I only give it out to other dps.
If I play tank I only give it out to healers.
If I play healer I only give it out to tank.

Only if they should be getting a commendation.
