I'd like to personally apologize to Yoshi-P for how the NA community treats the development team. You would think that now that we've gotten an interview with Yoshi himself about the process of development, and the typical day at work in that office, people might realize how hard you are working. Regardless of what has been released yet, I want to thank you, Yoshi-P, for doing your best that you can with what you've been given.

I'm starting to despise most of the North American community. Left and right there are hate threads for you to post in, but the second a happy thread comes around wanting to thank Yoshida and the team for the hard work they pull, the first ones to it are people bitching "BUT THE PATCH ISN'T OUT YET, HE DOESN'T DESERVE IT." Really? If you don't think he deserves it, then go make another copy of one of the million other hate threads around here. This is a thread for those who want to show their thanks to Yoshi and his team. If you have nothing good to say, why post anything in THIS thread? To start some sort of big debate about what Yoshi and his crew have done to date? Yes. It's been months since we've had an update. Yes, those updates were small. Yes, it took them 6 months to completely rework an entire battle system and it's core. Cry about it. That's a damn good time-frame if you ask me. But wait, I forgot, it doesn't matter what I say because most of the NA community thinks that what they say is law.
Yeesh, I tried to put it as nicely as I could. If I can't make a Tanaka appreciation thread without getting flamed, why should Yoshi deserve any better, really? Equality for all people, isn't that a basic human right?

Insulting people in the counter argument isn't going to change their minds. It will make them stick harder to their opinion regardless of whether or not it's right, and think less of your opinion simply because you insulted them. In essence, if you want to try and change someone's mind, come up with a well thought-out response and don't be a dick.

I know but still. It's not like they're saying he can go screw himself, they're just reserving judgment.

Besides, civility can't be demanded, nor respect. And Yoshi still has to show us he deserves it. Tanaka didn't really get that chance. Most people want to give people the benefit of the doubt, but it's hard to give people undue praise which is really what the OP is calling for.

    Praise without evidence.
