Maybe i'm to nice as a tank sometimes...

Now let me start out i'm the kind of tank that doesn't care about IL nor experience in a DF. If we are doing something like coils or EX primals, i will appriciate if you atleast took the effort in watching a guide, but if you didn't i'm happy to explain it to you.

But what often boggles my mind is the people that complain about me that i made a mistake, Which often isn't the reason we wiped. is that person is usually the guilty person in not avoiding AoEs or not knowing the mechanism of a particular boss fight.
And usually i'll just ignore those people or hell, i'll agree with them because i know if i start a discussion with people like that i might screw up the dungeon, and for me, i don't care... my wait time for a dungeon is 5 minutes, 10 tops. But i hate to screw it up the DPS people, that need to wait 30 minutes atleast.

People are real fast in pointing out flaws in others, while ignoring their own flaws.

Agree completely, most times the people who are pointing fingers are actually the ones that are screwing up the pt. Awhile back I was doing Ifrit EX and 1 healer and tank would constantly die. The same healer would have that soaring wind rebuff and stack on DPS so we all get knocked back and sometimes killed. After 3-4 attempts of wiping we finally get to big nail phase. And I acciedently LB3 too early(BLM) and wipe the group. I apologise and that WHM starts pointing fingers and talking down to me. After that we do a few more attempts with the WHM continually screwing up and forcing us to wipe. Needless to say I will not pt with that player again. When I see him in the same PT now I leave or a FC/LS/Static I ask him to be kicked.

Couldn't agree more, if i know someone talks shit but screws up 90% of the time, i'll remember his name and i'll refuse to be in the same group as he is in.

Precisely. Usually I find the loudest mouth is usually the issue, or someone trying to show off.

There are faster ways to earn Myth and Soldiery tomes to the point that you don't need to ever use the DF. Find a static party to do runs with because it will be far faster and they will get to know you much better and know your weaknesses and strengths same goes for learning about theirs too.

I honestly feel bad for some of the people I come across that are like that.

For example, I was in an Amdapor Township run with a friend. We got the the second to last pull and I provoked the adds to avoid pulling the Baalzephon (sp?). Shortly after pulling the adds away, a Monk decides to run in and start hitting the tower, this lead to the Baal beaming it strait to the healer which caught me (tank) completely off gaurd and could not react in time. Wipe.

I simply type out "Please don't touch the tower till the adds are dead." and the reply from the Monk was "You can't kill the adds till the towers are gone. Don't you know anything about this place?" followed by him immediately leaving.

I just sat there laughing and feeling pity knowing he's just going to cause trouble for the next group in line and there is nothing I can do to stop it. Needless to say, killing the last two trash packs without him went much smoother.

    Always remember the Silver Rule:
"Treat others as they treat you!" ...or something like that.

I often feel that I am Mr. Nice-Tank to people a lot too. And Codek, to your point, I also feel really bad for people like that.

I was doing Brayflox HM in the DF. As a tank, I am not that guy that just runs off and pulls. I usually say hello, examine people and then say something like "lets go for semi-speed/lets try to be more efficient and effective than all out fast" consequently, if I enter and its BRD/BLM/WHM and they are all gear up, I don't even need to say anything but thats besides the point.

So I enter and it does happen to be a decently gear group. Pull the first room no problem, lock the Ochu and the Gologo out. Pull the boss, kill the boss, no problems.

    Until...

I pull all 3 sets of goblins. Were killing them fine, I go OoM. I start Riot blade comboing and accidentally hit Riot Blade as the first attack instead of fast blade ONCE.

The WHM starts going off on me that a PLD should never be OoM there, you flashed too much, u missed a fast blade... I was stunned that he even NOTICED that, but then got so mad that he LEFT because all I said in response was "my bad, just wanted to hold aggro, nice call on me missing that FB!"

I stood there while Brayflox opened his secret passage wondering how someone could get so mad over a tank going OoM and missing one attack... I was stunned.

Was doing Titan HM the other day to get one of my FC friends through it. Four of the party were my FC mates on VC. We had all done this fight ten times at least by now except the guy we were trying to help. I was tanking it and the other FC mates were a WTM, BLM and Bard. This one DPS, who ate a landslide in two seconds BTW is calling everyone noobs. Telling us all to die so we can get the noob bonus. Says stop rezzing noobs just to die again. Eventually everyone eats landslides except our 4 FC guys. We four man it to the end. Everyone else is like, wow, thanks, that was awesome ect. The DPS parting shot is Congrats you bunch of f@$king noobs. First time I've ever written a players name down so I could warn everyone else in my FC avoid this guy like the plague.
