It will probably happen but not right away, I think in future expansions, I would like to see the Zodiac braves and death angel from final fantasy tactics lions war here also.

I would like to see the final fantasy 8 spider boss on the beach and have us go into a ship like in ff8 and fight in space.

also I feel like the weapons are gonna be in the game also since we already got one of them, crimson and others and hopefully we get a under water fight and a fight versus hades but too soon for all this stuff, I just cant wait for the golden saucer thats the big one for me.

I don't see Jenova really being fightable for a very, very long time. Not because of its ties in Final Fantasy VII, that's easily rectified, actually, considering Jenova is, essentially, an alien who crash landed onto the planet, and it is very possible that the FFXIV universe's Jenova could very well crash land on Hydaelyn somewhere.

The biggest problem is that there are already two major dungeon arcs going on: The Binding Coil of Bahamut and The Crystal Tower. It'd be better for one or both to complete before going onto something else.

Another problem is that Jenova would need to be aided by someone with Hojo's level of biological/medical expertise, access to funding, and the will to turn Jenova into a weapon to use against Eorzea. That would mean involving someone from Garlemald that we've never seen before, because the only person even remotely close to that level of expertise that's still alive is Nael Van Darnus, but he's an engineer, not a biologist!

So... is it possible to happen within the game's lifespan? Yes. Will we be seeing this anytime soon? No way. Will Sephiroth be accompanying Jenova? Never in a million years.

all of you nay-sayers lol, you realize jsut because a mob from one game makes an appearance does not mean its the same exact one from that universe. It would be worked into the lore, just as our crystal tower is not the same exact crystal tower from III, its the crystal tower from xiv, or the same way ultima weapon is xiv's ultima weapon, an not vii's. And to the people who say they shouldnt rip off main bosses of past titles... you realize from the moment Yoshi took over in 1.0 till 2.0 release the whole game was a tribute to vii, including the main villian being a direct reference in many ways to sephiroth. http://gamerescape.com/2013/08/21/th...e-white-raven/ Everything in this game lorewise is pulled from past titles, the only original content i can think of is the names of the towns/planet lol

Well here's the thing, though. Nothing's really "ripped-off" of anything, and FFXIV is not the first game to borrow elements from earlier (or, in some cases, later) Final Fantasy games. Not by a long shot. And some characters have been known to be inspired by others in the past (Lightning from FFXIII definitely felt inspired by fan-favorite character General Beatrix from FFIX, who in turn, some would argue, was inspired by fan-favorite character Celes Chere from FFVI).

That being said, while it is possible that Jenova COULD TECHNICALLY exist, I don't think it would happen for a very, very long time. There's already a lot of crap going on in Eorzea. That would be like, suddenly, both variants of the Four Elemental Archfiends (Lich, Kraken, Marilith, and Tiamat as well as Scarmiglione, Cagnazzo, Barbariccia, and Rubicante) just suddenly decide to turn up while everyone is still focusing their attentions on Primals augmented with Ascian technology, the investigation of the Binding Coil of Bahamut, the excavation of The Crystal Tower, the constant influx of threats from other Primals that keep sprouting up everywhere...

Eorzea's just one giant melting pot of chaos right now. It's a freaking warzone where everything is happening all at once! We've gotta give Eorzea a little more time to sort out its stuff before we give it more stuff to sort out.

Er wha... What game did you play? The Jenova project was injecting Jenova cells into individuals in an attempt to reunite Jenova. Hojo and Lucrecia (injected with J-cells) were Sephiroth's parents. Didn't you read Gast's and Hojo's reports on finding Jenova on the northern continent? Did you not see the headless body in the raid of the Shinra HQ? Or the head that Sephiroth ripped off Jenova's body in the Nibelhelm reactor? It just so happens that Sephiroth didn't know what he was doing and ending up with some crazy idea of becoming a god by being in the lifestream when he hits the planet with meteor.

cmon... KH IS a full fan serv game with SE and disney... It was designed that way, it wouldn't even exist if it wasn't the case. Also, apart from Sephiroth who appears twice as a boss, all FF characters only appears for a few mins and then disappear from the story. They don't even have any sort of importance... Leon, Yuffie, Cloud ? Bah, no importance at all.

What about auron, he fights with the team in II.
