As far as labeling only 4 or 5 books available at launch what was meant was that you must pick the first 6 or so then do the second upgrade part. Like Skyfire book 1 then Skyfire book 2.

According to people that know Japanese, it's mistranslated by SE (again...). He basically said what everyone was thinking the first time, that most people won't be done with Animus before 2.25 patch, at which time further progression will be introduced.
