If Relic atma quest actually felt epicThere would be less complaining. Instead of we are just zerging low level fate content with our eyes closed in hopes of getting super rare drops.
i know rite. welcome to generation Y is it? Thank blizzard - even they knew what they did and regret it. Its like giving a kid free candy and then telling them they cant have it any more. Same result.
i liked the part where he mentioned not many people have their Animus.... Lets replace the word Animus with Atma.
Pretty much this. I don't care if they release the next part tomorrow or two months down the road. I just wish SE would be consistent. I was a bit excited to hear about the possibility of new upgrades coming this week. Now I am just disappointed. No ego or anything. I don't care if everyone has animus or nova weapon. I just hate being jerked around by a company that can't make up their minds on what their design philosophy is.I don't have all my Atma much less my Animus weapon and I am very surprised by this. They said first that it would take some time and now they sound surprised we don't all have the Animus within a month? O.o (Mind you, I was also very surprised that folks expected the next stage of the weapon quest already. I haven't even SEEN an Animus weapon on my server.) It's this flip flopping that is no good.
No, the design philosophy never changed. They want the game to be generally accessible to a casual market. That has been, and continues to be the obvious driving design philosophy. I'd say you simply can't handle the fact they changed their minds about when to release this content after publicly saying it would be coming in 2.25. You live in a world where once something is spoken allowed it can and never should be changed because it messes with your expectations. Well, quite simply the world is more complicated than that and things can and do change sometimes. Honestly though. You need to learn to be more flexible. Games aren't easy to balance and sometimes things get changed or delayed even after they announced a date they think it should go live. That's life. They aren't trying to jerk you around. They are trying to make the best damn game they can. There is one thing that is for certain though. Changing your mind about when to release something to the public has absolutely 0% to do with design philosophy.Pretty much this. Was wondering what if the amount of people that clears the 2nd coil by end of 2.3 were so pathetic, will SE withhold the release of the 3rd coil?
I did my part, many of us did. I got my Animus, many of us did. So our reward is that we have to wait for others now? That's a slap to the face.
I don't mind that it ended up getting delayed nor do I mind that I have to wait. Yet when the excuse for a delay like this is because others didn't wish to partake on the same equivalent grind and we have to potential wait for them to catch up then that is unfair, unjust, and unreasonable. Since the "Novus" upgrade could have been released and the Atma/Animus grind could have just been balanced by 2.28 instead which would have been much more fair approach to the situation.
Though the overall outcome it is still pretty laughable to me.
I don't know but Extremes were released and a lot of people had issue doing Titan HM and not many FC's had turn 5 on farm and Second coil of Bahamut was released.
I know some free companies "sold" clears for others but i doubt that impacted statistics
The lack of communication on the subject makes it hard to figure out what they contradict themselves last minute.
Being 1 book away from finishing, and then reading the letter today:

I doubt it. I'd imagine when Yoshi states 'few people have an animus' as a reason for delaying the quest, he means fewer than expected. They already expected few to complete it so soon and given the quantity of feedback regarding the grindy nature of the entire questline and the luck requirement of the first part, I'd imagine they're rethinking how to do this (and possibly tweaking what's already there). Lots of people try to tackle coil and fail because it's difficult. Seeing lots of people start and subsequently quit or at least fail to progress with a quest that requires very little in the way of skill is probably not what they intended.
