[Suggestion] Company Chest Request Feature

Hello,

So before I give you this suggestion let me give you the back story and why I think it would be a good idea.

I will put it in a quote box so you can just skip ahead to the suggestion if you would like.

My FC, since September has always had this set up on the Company Chest:

Chest 1 and 3 Accessible to all approved members (rank above the initial rank)
Chest 2 is Deposit only, for housing items or high value items.
Gil is Deposit only for obvious reasons
Crystals were accessible to all approved members.

This worked very well for us, people shared and shared alike, people took acceptable ammounts of shards when levelling crafts and left shards they didnt want in return, very happy and honest way of using the chest feature and that is how it was intended i assume.

We have an inactivity kick just like most FCs would, and there was a member who had been kicked for being inactive over 2 months.

This player returned and he was welcomed back into the FC and as he was known to us he was approved straight away.

The next day he took 10k shards from the FC chest, all the crystals and all the clusters and then left the FC

After this happened we wrote to a GM, this is clear theft.

the GMs response was that they do not get involved in FC problems as the chest restrictions are there for this reason

the problem is, this has NEVER happened.. since September no one has ever done this, we have had people leave the FC on good terms and bad terms and no one has ever taken from the chest upon leaving.

So the GMs solution, as well as saying we cant punish this guy.. was that we lock everyone out, cos of what this one guy did

Why should a whole FC suffer cos of one DB?

So my suggestion is pretty much self explanatory from the title.. I would like a feature called Request.. Deposit and Request for instance..

A member would go to the chest, pull the item he wants into his inventory, put the ammount he wants and they gets the message "would you like to request this item" you click yes and Officers then get a request notification.. requests can be accessed in the FC menu or maybe in the chest menu just like the history is.. and they simply authorise or reject the withdrawal

That way everyone can still share and it takes the risk of stealing out of the picture completely

For a large FC that always has officers on, it's not a bad idea.

Definitely a good idea! The highest ranking officer currently online could have a pop-up notice, just like a friend request, with 300s to act accordingly before it times out.

Could definitely work out well for large FCs that have officers on that are around to deal with it, for sure.

I have to say though, that one of the things I hate the most about the FC chest, is that you can't put a limit on how much people take. Having access to a tab means they can take everything out of the tab.

I'd prefer WoWs way (calm down doomsayers) where you can put a daily limit, such as 3 items per day if a member, 5 items a day if officer, etc.
