I did use my LFG flag once, for the egg quest.

I don't know much about these online statuses. But I really miss the FFXI obviousness of setting "I want a party" icon. You wouldn't need all the shouting about Fate parties

As above, you have one. People just don't use them.

Back on ffxi most of the time you had your looking for party status up, you almost instantly got an invite.

You memory may be somewhat fuzzy on this point.
