What are the [dev1234] prefixes in titles

In the titles of some posts, I see [dev####] in titles and it's really odd and breaking up the looks of the forum.

There are some threads about the currently planned updates (dev0001-34) and if you have a response/suggestion/etc regarding the change you are supposed to make a new thread with the dev# in the title.

This person is referring to this: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/f...In-Development

The In Development forum has a list of changes that are in development, if you read the sticky in that forum it asks to put that into the thread title when you make a thread relating to that topic.

It allows the devs to search for threads with specific content, instead of scrolling through hundreds of pages of "Please Add This!"

Before you make a thread you should always reference that list.

Ah... probably deserves to be a tag though. Looks ugly.

    Thanks for the replies.

You're right, I don't think people need to put them in titles since there is a Tags option at the bottom of the page when you create a thread.

Some people didn't notice that.. others just like to do both.
